  1. Juan Mauricio

To sum it up:Titanium body makes it lightweight. Even lighter than Milwaukee fast backsThe blade to handle size is perfect. Not too big but not too small like the other edc utility blades I’ve only had it for a day and I’ve gotten plenty of compliments about it from work.If you used utility knifes for work on the daily, this is a must buy! Thanks exceed design!

  2. Amazon Customer

You can tell it’s extremely high quality everything works smoothly . It looks and feels great . Well worth the money.

  3. Denis B.

This knife is exactly what I need in an everyday work knife. I own hundreds of pocket knives but carry this one all the time. I can use it hard and not worry about hurting it. I’ll just change the blade and it’s as good as new.

  4. Jonathan

Exactly what I was looking for. Before this product, I was using the Gerber EAB. The Gerber is a great, inexpensive, tool but those that have one know that it’s not easy to open one handed, it’s handle is too short and it’s a pain switching blades due to the retention screw (which can easily get warped and/or lost). This is an awesome alternative. Yes, you’re spending more on this than a Gerber EAB, but the design, tight tolerances, quality materials and overall ease of use justifies the spend IMHO.

  5. Bryce Mazza

I have been carrying/using the knife for over a week now and it has become my favorite EDC knife. Working in a manufacturing shop and dealing with coolant and garnet it has done very well. My 3 favorite things about the knife is lightweight, smooth opening and closing and being able to change the razor out with ease.

  6. Danny Green

It’s not great. I had higher expectations for a daily utility carry. Lock stick is an issue along with lock up. Detent is pretty soft. Sometimes it will not snap open using the flipper tab. The knife was assembled with one too many washers in the pivot. I reached out to exceed and zero response. The knife is going in the right direction and I like the general idea but I’ll be posting it up for sale since I can’t return it at this point.

  7. Amazon Customer

Just received the knife today even after waiting several weeks for it to arrive. It is of better quality than I was expecting. My new edc knife.

  8. Eric Le

Fit and finish is awesome for the price! Had a small issue with my local usps and Josh jump right on it for support! Tempted to buy another one!

  9. Michael Cooper

Absolutely blown away with this knife! I use it everyday at work. Josh from exceed designs is committed to providing great customer service and stands behind his product.

  10. Ryan

Knife has excellent action and is very sturdy. Came with lots of extra parts. If you’re on the fence, purchase it. You won’t regret it.

  11. Blake Kasnick

As a knife guy who has a tendency to accumulate a whole lot of blades, this thing has surprisingly put a stop to that. It’s been my go to every since it arrived, and performs in a variety of scenarios. So far it’s performed well when cutting drywall (much better than my Milwaukee fast back) thanks to more blade exposure. It’s smooth and fidget worthy. With the standard non pry bar loop attached it is comfortable in the hand. With prybar it creates a hotspot for me. Blades are easy to change, and the knife disappears in your pocket. Clip is nice, finish is great, 10/10!

  12. Ace

Added some grip to it fun to flip and strong asf

  13. J.T. Kirk

I’ve carried a Gerber E.A.B. to work daily for over 10 years. They have always served me well (ever since that early liability issue was ironed out. OUCH!). I’m ready for something with a bit more class though. The SE Utilizer 2.2 seems well done, but the price is simply outrageous. Grossly outrageous! I have high hopes that the TiRant will be quality/price value I’ve been looking for.Not worried about blade change difficulty. (Update: blade change is super easy. Just takes a minute to figure out). I usually keep a blade going for a couple weeks with daily touchups at 30° on my Sharpmaker. As a swimming pool repair and maintenance guy, I mostly strip wire, scrape gaskets, cut hose, tubing and wire ties, as well as dealing with all sorts of packaging and fingernail dirt over the coarse of a day. Very much looking forward to putting the TiRant through the paces. I should be able to offer good feedback about the blade fit issues that so many reveiwers are talking about. I have built up a pretty vast collection of different brands and styles of replacement two notch utility blades over the years. I’ll update as soon as I receive and put a few miles on this sucker.7/3/21- Got it. Love it! It fits my favorite blades (Tajima V-REX II) better than the blade it came with. No lateral play between blade and holder. Vertical play is less than 0.3mm, and that has to be forced to be noticed. The thing is tight and solid. Why are so many people trying to run Dewalt Carbides in these? All high carbon blades are flush with carbides. Nothing new. They’ve never been particularly sharp out of the box anyway. Run them in Dewalt blade holders. I see no problems in form or function on initial inspection and first blade change. Would give 6 stars if I’d paid 25 less. Will continue to update with use.Update 12/28/21: Added pic with Jewell concave LVT blade installed. Took a 30 second mod to blade with dremel tool for perfect fit. Any 2 notch blade can easily custom fit to the TiRant with a few seconds on a dremel tool.I’ve been using the tirant often, and without problems.. It hasn’t kicked the Gerber EAB out of my pocket completely, though. This is only because the EAB is a little lighter, and way more compact. Which blade holder I choose each day just depends on how big my pockets are, and how much other stuff I’ve got on me. The Gerber rides better; The Exceed handles better. Will continue to update.

One thing I really like about this (and similar) knives is that if you forget it’s there as you approach a metal detector at the airport (or a stadium), you can just remove and toss your 50 cent blade and keep your $60 knife. Plus, cutting cardboard is very hard on a knife edge (which is why your mom never let you use the “good” scissors), so I use this and keep my nice knife sharp. The Tirant is a very nice design and appears to be made well. Flicking it open is effortless and fun, and I’ve had no problems with the lock on mine. Changing the blade wasn’t working for me until I moved the tool from my right had to my left. Then my thumb was pushing the correct way and the blade popped right out. I order two more to give as gifts.

  15. Jason R***

This has to be the best box cutter ever made! I love this knife so much I w got a total of 4 of them now. All with different blades that I use for different things. Can’t recommend this knife enough. If your thinking about getting one or more do it you won’t regret it at all.

  16. Amazon Customer

I like the easy opening and light weight. The handle fits my hand well. However, the recommended Dewalt blades don’t always fit and can come out of the handle while cutting.

  17. Raider-S

At first I thought this was too good to be legit. A titanium knife with this level of craftsmanship at this price point? I’ve use this knife daily now for three months with zero issues. I am not the one that just uses a knife to open packages and envelopes. Daily hard use…. This knife is legitimately a tool in addition to being a conversation piece. Ordered a second one as a back up. Yes there is a bit of lead time when ordering but definitely worth the wait. Hopefully we will see the jet black version available on Amazon as well.Thank you Exceed Designs for providing a high quality knife at a reasonable price point.

  18. Corey L.

Great little utility flipper! Out of the box it had a small bit of “blade play” from the flipper portion, but that was easily fixed by tightening the pivot screws. Overall I am very pleased with this utility knife and plan to carry it every day!Decided to disassemble it to see if I could make a set of skiff bearings work in it. After a little size research,im sure I’ll be able to find a size that works! Disassembly and reassembly was very easy!

  19. Ender Wiggin

The black outer case was an interesting way to package this knife. It feels a bit homemade, but still says “fancy” better than the cardboard backers lining shelves. It is only when removing the knife and seeing that it also looks like it has gone through some use that the price starts to feel high to anyone expecting new to mean shiny. That is the design, but it may take a minute to really appreciate it.The flipper is great and grip is comfortable, but the clip is more or less an afterthought and the cheap blades are hard to trust. I like the aesthetic, but always feel a bit unsteady when something so sharp is so light. After a few uses, the real quality starts to show, but it is not something that is seen just by opening the box. It also becomes obvious that things like the clip and blades are meant to keep the price down by replacing them with your own preferences. This knife is going to be a big change to anyone already comfortable with something else. I am glad to have supported a new idea, even if I hadn’t liked it as much. The people behind this company are truly amazing and treat each customer like a valued friend, but I am not allowed to expand on that here. I hope this knife will hold up as well for me as it did for whatever intense testing it endured to get here. I have no regrets about purchasing it. It is one of a kind.

  20. Josh D.

This is a great mix of quality with smooth action on the ball bearings and titanium sides, simple design, great utility, and easy to replace blades. My new EDC after carrying many high end blades for several years. It is a great value for the quality, and all the extra spare parts supplied. Would recommend to anyone looking for something like this.

  21. phothirath

This looks so good, In Iraq so I haven’t been able to use it yet.

  22. david j nicely

Everything as stated in the description

  23. Brandon Soporito

    Well made product.

  24. David H.

I love EDC razors and this is probably the nicest I have owned! super happy with quality and function so far

  25. FU_Arock

This thing is amazing, Josh is fantastic at communication and design. Don’t think twice, buy it. Or by a couple, give one to a friend. I just bought another, well worth the wait.

  26. Amazon Customer

Agree with the positive comments.Regarding to the several negative comments:Dewalt and Irwin blades fits perfectly. The blade holder seems to have very tight tolerances. If a blade is just slightly thicker (heavy duty?), it may not fit.Blade removal/install is simple and straight forward. Push the top portion of the blade holder open, then slide the blade in/out.Lastly, it is highly unlikely for a blade to inadvertently come off during use.

  27. Christine Heimbecher-Garcia

This V2 TiRant is amazing. The machining is excellent. The knife came with no blade play/lock rock to speak of. It is quick to deploy and very light. Another cool aspect is that it comes with extra hardware just in case. It also comes with tools and extra blades! The only things I hope Josh improves on with the V3 is maybe a bigger/stiffer lock bar and by extension a little bit tougher detent. In isolation both of these are perfectly acceptable if not right on for what it is but I am used to full size frame lock pocket knives from companies like ZT and CRK. It could be just me not being used to such a light blade and small lock but its what jumped out at me when I first handled it. Overall I am extremely happy with this little thing and it has earned a spot in my pocket every day at work. Great work Josh!

  28. Grizzly Bane

Really good utility blade holder, great value, amazing action. Only two things that can make this better is a captive pivot for easier maintenance and a easier way to push blades in maybe a more assessable tab. Overall pleased.

I was hesitant on this, even flip flopped and tried to cancel. But talked to the owner and he reassured me I could send it back if I wasn’t satisfied. So I let it waited to see what it was about. Man, I’m glad I did, cause this is a badass knife, or utility knife rather. It feels good. It’s well thought out. The guy that makes em is cool. Just buy one, you’ll see. I wouldn’t wanna go back to my griptilian or bugout after this.

  31. sp

Love this flippin utility knife! Lightweight, sturdy construction, looks great, and smooth to flip. My only complaint was having one, so I bought a second. Included accessories are a great addition. Blade change is very easy. After applying a little heat to the screws, swapped out lanyard ring with included pry bar lanyard ring without issue. Great youtube video by Exceed Designs that explains how to disassemble.

  32. Kaleb

I like this product very much. I even purchased the one that was advertised as slightly defective. But I have not noticed anything wrong with it! Honestly it is great! I bought this product as a replacement for a pocket knife. And it does that well. The only thing I will comment on is that changing the blade requires a good bit of effort to get it to come loose.

  33. S. Lannetti

I’m absolutely in love with this knife. I bought it to use at work as I have to use a box cutting knife all the time. I was getting tired of my cheap box cutter as it kept closing while i was trying to cut, and it wasn’t very safe. I ordered it around 2 months ago and in that time the people over at Exceed Designs made a newer v2 variant. I was a little bummed bc i was expecting the older v1 version. Instead, they sent me the newer model and i could not be happier! Thank you guys!

  34. Michael T.

I work a lot with box cutter and I’m somewhat of a knife enthusiast. My favorite blade is the box cutter/utility blade because I use it so often, it feels so good to know that a sharp blade is a simple replacement away. That being said, of all the utility blades I’ve used in the past, your blade has got to be, hands down, the best. It’s light, durable, simple, efficient, and even elegant. Of all the fancy and expensive blades I own, I find that this blade is the one I prefer to keep on me at all times.I hit a snag with my order potentially being lost and the owner responded to my concerns. Right away, I can feel his dedication to improving every aspect of this blade simply by the time and energy he poured into my problem. Turns out, USPS was the culprit by mislabeling the order as delivered when it wasn’t, and delivered the product later that week. What I discovered here is an owner that is passionate about this project and a utility knife that I just don’t want to leave home without. I am beyond excited for discovering this product and if ever there is a v3, I will be at the front of the line.

The very first thing that I noticed is how light the tyrant v2 is. This is very important to me when carrying something all day. I figure the titanium plays a role in this, but also I noticed the scales are machined out on the inside to save weight. The build quality and tolerances are top notch. The price point for this is very fair. For a traditional assisted knife of this quality the price would be much higher. The company also seems great. My bearings were upgraded for free to ceramic, a nice note was included, and a bunch of spare parts were in the box. Furthermore, the company explains how to disassemble if needed. This matters to me because a user should be encouraged to service a tool if the need ever arises. Will update if I run into any issues.

  36. NdO PgO

I thought this would be an excellent Edc knife, but I was completely wrong. It is well designed and Ti made, but this is mainly for light duty use, NOT for heavy duty use like most utility knives are designed for.

  37. Blake Harrison

Excellent lightweight flipper utility knife. Bonus points for being titanium! Perfect fit for my EDC. ZERO flimsiness. I don’t see myself carrying any other utility knife! Exceed Designs easily “exceeded” my expectations with this purchase. If you want a titanium utility knife, this is the way.

  38. Michael Trocki

I cannot wait to get mine, I’ve learned over the years that a utility knife is the way to go for every day use solely because of the blades. I have no worry of how hard I use it and not damaging a high dollar steel. This thing looks amazing, but what I’m more impressed with is the customer service. I’ve followed this knife and it’s customers for a while now. This company answers questions, listens to customers, and is willing to fix or replace completely free!!! That’s true American enginuity and service. I am greatly excited to support them and own their product. I will use it everyday and gladly show my friends and Co workers this amazing knife in hopes they get one too. Just look at how many questions and comments they repspond too. You can’t beat this company integrity anywhere else.

  39. UR

I’ve owned several edc utility knife from different companies. So far this is the best. Light weight, smooth and easy to deploy, not to mention the knife can be deployed with single hand only. Smooth out of the box and well-crafted. For an office edc person, this is much better than other “tactical knife” in the market from my humble opinion.Compare to tpt slide: way easier to change the blade, and better ergo.Compare to other Olfa blade knife: easier to find blades and replace. Cheaper to do so.For such a price, really a bang for the buck. Recommend.

  40. DONALD GILCRIST

I have a gerstner box full of knives from budget to hundreds of dollars and the tirant has completely taken over my edc. It’s been in my pocket every single day since it arrived with no end in sight. This product easily deserves five stars and I’d honestly give it more if I could. I do have some thoughts though and the fact that they are now on V2 tells me they are constantly looking to improve and listening to customer feedback, so here’s mine. If I’m wearing jeans or shorts or sweatpants the pocket clip works great. If I’m wearing thicker work pants, I often need two hands to get the clip over the thicker material. Obviously this is very case sensitive and not at all a deal breaker, but I would love to see the pocket clip redesigned for v3 or maybe have a Milled clip offered as an accessory? My other observation is also case sensitive and involves the flipper tab. As I mentioned before I have a lot of knives and a lot of them are flippers so I’m used to both push button and light switch style flipper tabs. The tirant flipper tab is imo more suited for light switch style flips. Push button requires pressing into the pointy section of the tab. If the tab was rounded it could accommodate both styles and make it more comfortable to make full use of the amazing detent. Everything else is perfect and even if these changes weren’t made and I somehow lost mine, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another. I absolutely love this utility knife. Exceed designs really swung for the fences and it shows.

  41. Jared Benedict

I bought my first knife first TIRANT RAZOR V2 about 6 months ago and I loved it so much I just bought (and received) two more. The ability to exchange blades without any tools make the design exceptional. The opening mechanism is super smooth and the knife locks securely. I carry this knife everywhere and I now keep an extra one in my truck.

Haven’t put it to real heavy use just yet but so far seems solid. Really appreciate the extra parts that were included with the knife. Bought it as a “travel knife” since the blade is removable, shouldn’t be an issue with TSA, then can pick up a blade literally anywhere when I land. Way more classy than packing a straight up box cutter!

  43. Amazon Customer

I have used this as my EDC knife ever since I got my first V1. I have used a V2 and now a V3, and every iteration manages to improve on a design I otherwise considered perfect. It is not only my go to knife but also my goto fidget toy. It is truly a joyous object to hold.

  44. James King

I bought this with high hopes after reading about the company and reading some reviews. The quality, design and materials exceeded my expectations. I like flipper style knives and this is exactly what I was looking for. For a knife of this quality made from titanium I would have expected to pay at least 20-30% more, so I was very pleased when I received the item and it met and exceeded my expectations with fit, finish, functionality, design and just overall quality. Can’t say enough good things about this knife.

  46. Stan

I’m a knife enthusiast and I love this piece a lot. Mine is V2. Only minor quibble is the very stiff pocket clip, but some may consider that a plus. I will almost definitely buy another piece from this maker. CHEERS!

  47. Lou S

Very high quality EDC utility folder. Smooth opening and closing, Sturdy blade retention. We’ll worth the money.

  48. david luttrell

    Very high quality

  49. Geoffrey Z.

Lightweight and compact utility blade. Flipper and titanium frame lock design is perfect for easy open and close. Very comfortable for normal cutting tasks and easy to swap out blades.

  50. Sterbean

Well worth waiting for! I received my Tirant Razor V3 today and it is superb!! Just holding this razor knife, you can feel the quality and detail put in to create such a unique device. The pivot on opening this Tirant Razor is as smooth as any of my premium pocket knives. The packageing and spare parts defines the above par of this merchandise. Josh from Exceed Designs added a letter expressing his concern for the delay in shipping, which shows me that his priority is his product and customer satisfaction. I have already decided that I will not be using this for work (although it is fully capable) but I will carry this, perfectly sized for EDC, for my personal use. I will recomend this item to anyone interested in it. I will also be showing it around!! Quality!!!!

I typically don’t post reviews, but I feel this product and company deserve it. I haven’t gotten to carry and use this knife yet, but first impressions are this is a QUALITY knife at a steal of a price.I bought this knife to replace a Gerber EAB I’ve been carrying for a few years. I researched and watched almost every video on compact and folding utility knives there is. For a folding, TITANIUM utility knife, the TiRant can’t be beat!I’m a gear and knife person and this knife feels as nice or nicer than some of my $100+ regular EDC knives. One of the features that of this knife that was a must for me was the tool-less blade change. The Gerber required removing a screw to flip or change the blade. While this makes the blade very secure, it takes longer to do. And if you loose the screw, the knife is useless. The deep carry pocket clip is another plus. Beyond the quality fit, finish, operation and excellent price, the thing that puts this knife over the top is the accessories the knife comes with. Packaging is quality and makes a nice presentation and storage. The knife comes with replacement screws and tool for every screw in the knife – including the main pivot screw. I know of no other manufacturer that does this. But wait, there’s more! The knife comes with a lanyard loop installed and can be swapped for a pry-tool end included with the knife.Lasty, there are 10 replacement blades included in a sturdy plastic case that can be put in a pack or vehicle to have spare blades on hand at all times. This knife has 1 negative for me – it may have booted one of my expensive, full-sized folders from my EDC rotation due to limited pocket space! If your a knife person who appreciates quality gear and in the market for quality folding utility knife, look no further and purchase the TiRant!

  52. Dakota Saunders

The glide when opening is super fast and easy. Locks in evertime like clock work. Very light for the size. And very comfortable in use. Highly recommend

  53. Rex

Great customer service. Slim, non bulky, the best razor knife on the market.

  54. Amazon Customer

This knife is very lightweight! Sturdy and works well.

  55. Lucas

I read all the reviews, but was still skeptical–don’t be! The blade has some play, but is very secure. I can’t pull it out no matter how hard I try. Flipping action is excellent, and the attention to detail rivals that of much more expensive knives. Basically you’re getting for a high-end titanium flipper, but you’re not paying for the grind and blade steel. I am just starting out in my knife collection, but this has become my primary EDC knife, as I am pretty abusive to knives being a mechanic. When Exceed releases another product, like a “real” knife, I will probably buy that too. 10/10 product, and there’s really nothing else like it on the market that I’ve found, especially at this price point.

  56. Michael Sterling

I am a knife guy who has a lot of knives. I work at a cardboard manufacturing plant, so I use box knives a lot on a daily basis. I was looking for a box knife that more suited my love of knives and was not the run of the mill box knife. I eventually came across this in my searching and decided to give it a try.I absolutely LOVE this knife. Titanium scales, ball bearings, great action, frame lock, flipper…need I say more? Most pocket knives with these materials will run over $100. I get that the blade is different in a box knife, but I still feel this is worth the price. This may not be for every person or fit every application, but for the standard usage it is awesome. Mine is heavily used and has not given me any issues yet. I have read different problems others have had and looking at mine it looks like the issues have been fixed. I only use the Stanley blades my job supplies, and they fit great. I have not had one issue with blades falling out or sticking after using it. The jimping on the scales were smoothed out and comfortable. Pocket clip screws were set into the scales to not tear up your pockets. They supply extra hardware and a tool as well which is nice. The only issue maybe, is that it is too nice. With a $5 Stanley box knife I can beat it up hard and am not worried about it. Plus losing it doesn’t bother me much. If I lose this knife I would be pretty bummed. Also the customer service has been very good. They reached out to me and discussed some things with me. I was very impressed. I strongly recommend this if you think it works for what you are doing.

I have been carrying some sort of knife for fifty years. Since I was eight years old. A sharp stone. One of mankind’s earliest inventions. Sometimes in your live you just need to cut something.Today that means Amazon boxes.A pocket knife is something that is supposed to be used. Every time you use them they become more dull and less useful.I used to carry a Spyderco delica. Brilliant knife. Ordered it out of a catalog I sent for out of a Popular Macanics magazine I believe.Never held it until it came in the mail two weeks later. When it came I opened up and I was amazed at how nice this thing was!I think I cost $80 dollars in 1992. It open up so easily and shut so fast I actually cut myself. Way different from having to dig your thumbnail in and pull the blade out to get it to “lock” open.I carried that knife for fifteen years or better. Not only carried it but used it, sharpened it and used it some more.I could never get as sharp as I got it though.I finally started to look for something else. Gerber EAB. This was good. Small. Capable. But was not comfortable. It seemed to be unfinished. Cheap.I ordered this knife on Amazon with never holding it in my hand and again I am amazed. The quality of this little pocket knife for the price is quite impressive. It opens easily with one hand. It closes easily with one hand. It’s easy to carry. It’s always there when you need it and it is always sharp. A sharp stone that will last.I can see carrying this thing forever. Get one!

I absolutely love this knife, the action is very smooth and is breaking in wonderfully, there is no blade play with the holder and the utility blades shift in the holder minimally. I choose to purchase a blemished model and the only blemish is that it has 100% lockup on the lock bar which doesn’t hinder the performance, I’m happy with the money I spent and would highly recommend this knife to anyone who is looking for a knife with replaceable utility blades

  59. barry

What a great piece at a great price! Solid construction and smooth action.

  60. Jesse

Great mix between utility knife and flipper. If you want the capabilities of a utility knife, and the feel of a flipper. You have to try this knife. I have carried the Milwaukee fastback compact for years and this has easily replaced it.

  61. Amazon Customer

This is an impressive blade. The flipper is good and it’s very solid. Much nicer than I thought and very affordable.

  62. Logan

Received the knife in less than a month, ordered knowing that it would take awhile as it was advertised it could take up to 5 weeks just to ship. Josh from Exceed Designs messaged me about 3 weeks after ordering to apologize for delays and offered to give me a black version that’s currently unreleased and promised to have it shipped and delivered within the week if I’d like to have the black one. After having reached out to me I received it just a few days later and I absolutely love this knife. It feels light and high quality, no looseness in the blade and even with that said, it’s easy to take out and put back in whatever blade you want to use. It flips super nicely, feels super comfortable in my hand making it easy to cut heavy duty boxes at my job. Does more than I wanted it to and couldn’t be happier for the price. It looks great, feels great, overall an awesome knife and a fun flipper to play with. They clearly really care about this product and their customers, best customer support I’ve ever gotten on Amazon.

  63. Benjamin

I love this knife. I love how it flips. I love that you are able to replace the old blade with a new one when it becomes dull. The knife is pretty sturdy as I accidentally dropped it and fell down the stairs and didn’t get damaged. If you really want to be meticulous, the only down side I found is that changing the blade includes loosen up some screws. However, the seller sends you a mini screwdriver with your order so that helps so much. The seller is a very nice, pays attention to you as a customer, responds to messages quickly, and just want you to have the best experience with this handy knife.I highly recommend getting one because it’s made with good materia, it is durable, and the blades are super sharp.

  64. Peter Casey

This cutter is extremely well made. I had been in the market for an edc utility knife for a while, and after watching the Best Damn EDC video on the subject I decided to check out the TiRant Razor V2. It just arrived in the mail today, and this thing snaps open like you wouldn’t believe. I can lightswitch flick the flipper tab because the bearings are so smooth. This is an excellent utility knife, and the sellers were also really forward about their lead times, which was refreshing for this site.

  65. Dredison

Look at other positive reviews for more incite/details. I would be repeating how impressive this EDC knife is. Way better than expected for the cost! Surprisingly fidgety because its so well made. If I could change one thing it would be to have some jimping on the flipper tab from the factory. I might add some but be very careful not to alter the front/top corner of the flipper tab because it is what engages the frame lock. Which by the way is perfect at 2/5ths overlap. Absolutely zero flaws that others have mentioned. I have lost knifes in the past (not the pocket clip or the knife’s fault) just me being careless but if I ever did loose this one I would buy again in a heartbeat.

  66. BG

Great basic razor cutter in a slick and slim pocketknife format, with lock and mini pry-bar. Great customer service directly from designer.

  67. Mitzi Massie

This EDC is really nice and a great value with based on the materials utilized and the fit and finish. I also purchased the Carbon Fiber scale and it was an absolute perfect fit. Definitely recommend this product.

  68. Jeremiah Edmunds

Extremely good build quality and feels really solid. It exposes more of the utility blade while being slim in the pocket..hands down my favorite edc knife.

  69. Galina B

finally was able to get my hands on one and i have to say out of the box its great! Smooth open/close great feel in the hand. spare parts if you need them, and a bunch of spare blades. swapped the lanyard loop for the pry bar and already loving it. i have aloooot of knives from grimsmo/chris reeves – crkt/saks and the build quality is top notch. would 100% recommend as a daily carry or even a third pocket knife. great for an office if you dont wana wip out a bigger knife.

  70. Jet S. Sisouvong

Light weight with fast and smooth flipper action. Feeling great in the hands and pocket. Highly recommended!

  71. Nicholas D. Brunette

Flip feature is very smooth, lighter than the Milwaukee fastback I was using, and it just feels good in the hand my only gripe is that it should come with two t6 wrenches if you’re going to provide them to change out the screws for the pry option. Not enough of a hassle to make me knock the rating down, overall love the product. Thank you!

  72. Micah Creamer

    Well made.

  73. Cameron Speltz

It’s honestly astounding that this is the only knife of its kind on the market right now. If you, like me, are tired of ruining good knife edges, but don’t want just any old clunky utility knife, do not hesitate. Buy this.Feels great in the hand, looks great, very smooth and satisfying opening action, easy to change blades. I only just got the thing and I’m in love 😍

  74. DiabloZoe

This is the coolest utility knife I’ve ever owned. Very smooth, no play at all.

  75. Cale

Amazing quality for the money. The design is excellent; it’s surprisingly light and there’s zero play at the piviot, while still having a snappy deployment. Also the company seems to be highly focused on QC and customer service.I’m a machinist and a metalworker, and its clear to me that this is very well made. Highly recommend.

  76. Amazon Customer

Awesome little utility knife with an amazing flipper action. For the money I see why so many people recommend this. Even with my collection of spyderco, benchmade, Medford, TRM, and many other “high end” brands of knives this little utility knife is going to find a place in my rotation. There is only 2 things I wish were different.• The stand offs and pivot are free spinning. So you will need 2 torx bits to take it apart.• The “pry” back spacer should be angled the other way so that the flat front scale is on the angled side. I find the pocket clip gets in the way when trying to use that specific part sometimes.Still with those two things, if you are on the fence about getting this just do it. It’s worth the money and the wait time. Also mine came in 2 weeks before it said it would. So that’s always awesome.

  77. lukas hartman

BUY THIS !!!! I have been carrying this knife everyday for 2 weeks and I have to say it is absolutely amazing It has a great action and the blade stay in very well haven’t had them accidentally come out on me at all. This knife is truly an incredible value for the price. You are getting a quality knife for sure with this product

  78. Andrew Gomez

I am a huge fan of this utility flipper. I used to carry a cheap Kershaw as my work knife, but I realized it was time to switch to a utility knife. I have a couple but they are too bulky and take up too much room in my pocket. The Exceed Tirant has a perfect form factor, and the frame lock is rock-solid. It has become my every day knife as well as my work knife I like it so much.

  79. Dakota

I’ve been carrying an RUK or a TPT Slide for the last two years. I’m a huge believer in utility blades because I don’t like sharpening knives. This is hands down the highest quality unit I’ve used. It’s butter smooth, the fit and finish is phenomenal and the packaging is stellar. It comes with a pry bar attachment that can be swapped out instead of the lanyard loop, extra screws and pivot, blades and a small torx wrench to swap parts out if needed. It even comes with a liner lock detent replacement should you ever need to repair your lock. It’s small, compact and lightweight but fits in my size XL hands comfortably. It’s awesome seeing something like this from a small company and I will 100% be recommending this to everyone I know. Especially at $59. I’m a big knife collector and this just kicked all of them out of rotation. I’ll be gifting these to friends and family and definitely trying out Exceed’s other products. Nice work!

The utility knife you always dreamed of is now a reality. This is it boys (and girls), this is the one. This is the aesthetically pleasing, ergonomically fit, fully functional, do it all utility knife the entire EDC community has been waiting for. The action is flawless. The materials and finish are premium. The packaging, extra blades and parts are all icing on the cake that make the beautifully designed knife a home run–Exceed Designs really hit it out of the park with this.It doesn’t stop there though. The owner, Josh Boram, reached out to me to personally express his gratitude for my purchase. You can tell he takes pride in his craft and offered to fix anything wrong if I received a faulty product (there wasn’t, it’s perfect). How cool is that!If you’re reading this….just do it. It’s that simple.

  81. El Dragonfly

So I had an issue with the time of delivery and the seller worked to get it to me faster. Can’t say enough for that type of service. This will be a gift, but I checked it out and this is well built. Can’t speak to others experience with this knife, but I have not found an issue. And so I look at from being the owner of a variety of knives from small inexpensive to Chris Reeve. BTW this comes with almost all the replacement parts you can need. How is that. Well worth the price.

  82. Dillon

I’ve been looking for a heavy duty slim box cutter for work and edc. I’ve gone through multiple high end highly rated box cutters. This is by far the best one I’ve purchased yet!

  83. Leonard Hill

I was very happy with the quality of this knife …. they give you extra parts for the knife if for some reason you lose any or break and thing on it…but to be honest it very well built, and I doubt you will need them other than changing out the blade…

  84. dj91205

Waited a long time for this to ship, I reached out to customer service and the owner responded immediately, he was very nice and got my order out as soon as he could and made things right. I love the knife I use it for work daily, I needed something with a replaceable blade and this fit the bill perfectly. Action is smooth as butter and build quality is great, very compact and light. Thank you Exceed!

The company was backlogged so it took ages to arrive (about 2 months). It was well worth the wait. I’ve had several types of compact razor knives and this is by far the best one. I’m about a month into use and I love it. The action is so smooth and easy to use both right or left handed, even though I’m a leftie. Super fast and easy to swap blades. Super lightweight and compact, but not too small. My only two gripes are:Pocket clip isn’t ambidextrous. The part of the blade that’s inserted takes a bit of a roll pretty much on install so it isn’t really worth turning around unless you have utterly destroyed the exposed edge and just need something slightly better in a pinch. These are not huge deal breakers for me. Most other knives suffer the same short comings without and of the upside or ergonomics this one has. This has edged out a lot of high end knives for my every day carry.

  86. Michael

Amazing action. Not drop shut or anything like that but great non the less. Skeletonized scales but I upgraded to a carbon fiber scale as well. Comes with lots of extra parts which is nice. Way faster shipping than I expected (3 days!). Well worth the money, especially if you don’t want to ruin any of your nicer EDC knives.

  87. ChinaBAMA

This is by far the best utility flipper design on the market in terms of quality and value. The reason I brought this is because I want something that I can take with me to travel by air. NOTE: I haven’t gone through TSA yet, but I feel it’s a pretty sure way to go through the TSA check point without the blade. The ergo and the feel of the knife is very good in hand. I do like how the packaging include TONS of extra spare parts and the pry bar attachment has been quite useful. Overall, I am very satisfied with the purchase and it is a no brainer to purchase a second one as backup.UPDATE as of June 2022. Went through TSA PreCheck and I put the knife WITHOUT BLADE in the bowl for the scan. The knife went through the scan without any issues. Love having a flipper knife while traveling. Just need to drop by a hardware store to pick up a utility blade replacement at my final destination. Cheers!

  88. Dan

I couldn’t be happier and the product matches the customers service outstanding

  89. GSM

The knife punches way above its weight. I could see this knife costing double the price, especially with the carbon fiber scale. Very well made, solid, and smooth in operation. I ran into a problem trying to install the scale myself since I didn’t have the right tools and setup. Exceed took care of this for me and replaced the scale and prybar. They were very friendly and supportive all the way.Exceed told me to let anyone know that if you are having any problems with your knife to be sure to contact them and they will help you out. They are so helpful and nice.

  90. Andrew

This is an amazing knife. I have a small collection (about 25) pocket knives ranging from Para-3 to sebenza’s. I thought I’d give this utility knife a shot. I am blown away with the quality of this knife. You can tell the second you pick it up that it isn’t mass produced and care is taken during assembly. It also came with a very nice note from the owner explaining the delay and the steps he took to go above and beyond to make it right! I will absolutely be purchasing another soon and will be gifting this to close friends in the future. It’s actually hard to call it a “utility knife” because of the craftsmanship.

  91. Edward Alexander Gersabeck

Good quality product, and responsive customer service. I had a question about replacement parts just in case, and they were very helpful.

  92. mike spillane

I just got my knife today and I just ordered 2 more for my sons ! .I have worked as a lineman for 30 years and have carried a work blade and a edc blade daily. I started carrying a razor blade years ago-the old Stanley retracting knife to save my bench made or spyderco from daily cutting of ties, tape and cardboard. I can now just carry the exceed design…great balance, great flipping and weight…..bravo !!

  93. Dan Kenney

I collect utility knives and use them heavily at work. I have plenty that range from $10-$300. I purchased three of these. All of them have issues with the blade being pulled right out of the knife when cutting anything. I mean you will be cutting cardboard and the blade will get pulled out and be stuck in the cardboard. I am past the point of return and two of them were gifts. They do not accept most blades. The blades that work the best are the extremely cheap ones that come with it, and those also get yanked out when you cut anything. There is also the locking mechanism that everyone else is complaining about. It doesn’t engage all the way. With all of the boasting about “precision milling” and “zero tolerances” this knife is dangerous to the user and an absolute waste of material. The knife is literally unusable. If all you’re doing is buying one to flex a picture on reddit or Instagram, then this is good for you. If you’re buying it to actually use, don’t.

  94. C. Delgado

I finally pulled the trigger on this knife and I could not be happier with it! If you are an EDC enthusiast and have struggled to find the perfect knife, one that is easy to maintain (no sharpening due to the utility knife it uses – for those of us who are not gifted with that skill), incredibly light weight (mine weighed 2.4oz with a DeWalt carbide blade I put in the day it was delivered), deep carry pocket clip, thin profile, and made out of titanium! Who else can relate?I own a small collection of knives, including brands like Benchmade, Spiderco, a few Buck knives and other cheap knives that I picked up here and there. Also adding to this small collection, I have utility knives that from brands like Gerber, Husky, Milwaukee and others. All those knives (in every class) are **great and I am glad I have them, but this Tirant Razor V2, in my opinion, is on a league of its own. Since getting this knife I decided to “trim down” my collection, gladly gifting some of my knifes and keeping those that I truly like, but this knife is now always with me as an EDC essential.A note to the owner: Josh, thank you for the great customer service and for fine tuning this knife to its current version. You have earned yourself a lifelong customer and I look forward to the updates and other products you design.

Recommend.

  96. @GlassHouse

When I ordered this little EDC knife I was expecting a high quality item but, I had no way of knowing just how high quality it really was.The craftsmanship is excellent, with minuscule tolerances and beautiful, minimalistic operation. The box also came with extra hardware, a tool and an interchangeable pry bar, which I affixed immediately.Brilliant!Highly recommended.Thank you

  97. Kirk

Took a long time to get to me, but it was well worth the wait. Everybody that uses razor knifes should order one imo

  98. Synthesis

Being somewhat of an EDC Utility knife and titanium flipper-style pocket knife addict I can say that this tool really does the job for me, especially coming in at less than $60 shipped. The one I received has a good smooth and early lock-up, good centering and decent flipping action. The detent could be a bit stronger but I have no major complaints other than I found the blade a bit challenging to change (I just unscrewed the 2 screws and put a new blade in, easy enough). The blocky and plain style is attractive to me and at the price I can easily carry this and use it without worrying about damaging a limited release multi-hundred dollar custom knife. The tumbled/stonewashed finish feels smooth in hand and looks good. I have zero qualms about recommending this utility flipper to anyone based on the copy I received. I see a few others in the comments complaining about this or that and based on what I have received and experienced with Exceed Designs they seem to have very reasonable customer service and are quick to communicate and handle issues if they arise. Very cool product, 5 Stars!

  99. Hunter Jones

I cannot over emphasize how much I love this knife. I just took it out of the box and I have already placed my CRKT, Smith and Wesson, and Kershaw knives in my nightstand. I am pretty frugal, and it took me several weeks to talk myself into spending $60 on a utility knife. After getting it, I feel like I underpaid. This feels like a $120 knife. Very very smooth mechanism! I may end up buying a second in case I lose this one.

  100. Zach W.

Great product you won’t regret it.

  101. Jacob

    Great knife

  102. Skuut

So i really wanted to like this thing. I LOVE titanium gear and tools. I own dozens of titanium pieces. But this knife looks infinitely better than it works. And for $60 i expected something heftier with a more solid feel. It felt cheap and the blades were amazingly cheap. Also, the blade swapping process was TERRIBLE. I had a five dollar harbor freight knife for years before it went kaput, i had this TWO days and it just fell out of my pocket, gone forever. Waste of money. DONT BUY THIS!

  103. Miguel Flores

Love this pocket knife!! I highly recommend this product. Also, Exceed Designs is top notch. I absolutely love when a company goes above and beyond your expectations. They’ve earned this review, and gained a customer for life! Look forward to your future designs and gear. Thank you!

  104. Tristan clark

I am always on the lookout for the most compact utility knife everyday carry and used to buy a pretty slim knife made by stanley but they stopped making that knife. I liked that one but only lasted so long. I was watching a knife review on youtube and the Tyrant came up and I fell in love right there from watching the video. When it came I was shocked at how well built the knife was, how perfectly tuned the main screw was where it wasnt too tight and flipped open so easily. Awesome product

  105. CT

This is replacing my Gerber EAB as my EDC. Excellent build quality and very light weight. The opening action is very smooth. The blade holder seems stable and holds the blade tight, with no movement or play. And no tools required to change the blade. That said, changing the blade is a bit of a challenge the first time.Great product and totally recommended. On top of the quality knife, it also came with an optional pry bar extension. Merry Christmas to me!Forgot to mention that in addition to the pry bar extension, the knife came with an allen tool to take apart the knife and extra blades. The knife was already great but these little touches puts the whole pack over the top. Great job!

  106. Zack

The worksmanship and design of this knife is top notch! Fit and and finish are as good as it gets. I’d take this over a Rexford RUT, or Big Design TPT Slide or Titanium Pocket Tool, or Gil Tek RUK, or Chaves Knives CHUB. That’s how much I like this knife. I bought 2 of these with my own money. I’m in no way affiliated with Exceed Designs. I’m that impressed with these knives!

  107. copayanh

Great customer service. Item was late but worth the wait. Bought 3 so far, great gift item.

This knife was more or less a must buy for me. I had been searching for months for the perfect EDC box cutter, that didn’t look like I was preparing to lay carpet down every time I pulled it out to use it.I’d say a good 99% of my EDC cutting tasks are opening boxes, cutting tape, or a string on my shirt. To be honest all of the knives I’ve carried are overkill for those tasks, and being a novice sharpener it didn’t seem worth it to use my S35VN or S30V steels to perform these tasks. And here we are today. I’ve had the knife for a while now and I gotta say I’m very impressed with the quality of this knife. The action, fit, and finish are amazing. The knife genuinely feels like a Civivi Elementum in terms of action and smoothness.Exceed Designs really has thought long term here, by not implementing some complicated mechanism that’s cool and works for a few months then falls apart. You can tell the care they have taken to eliminate blade play, to keep near 0 tolerances all the way around. When I hold this knife or take it out to fidget with it, I really can see the true craftsmanship behind it. However, a deep carry clip would be nice. (Which I hear is coming on a future model)I do still carry some regular knives, but there hasn’t been a day since it arrived where the Tirant was not in my EDC rotation.

I’ll start by mentioning that I owned the original Tirant Razor and loved it. It had it’s “issues”, like not having a deep carry clip and not supporting newer utility blades, but this V2 solves both of those issues and even gives you more features/bonuses right out of the box! At the moment of writing this, they are doing a special deal where the price is the same as the original and, for 60 bucks, this is a one and done ultimate utility blade package in my opinion. My headline mentioned how great their customer service is, so I’d like to tell you about that too! When I first received my V2 Tirant Razor, it was less than satisfactory considering it had consistent lockbar failure. I contacted Exceed Designs on Instagram about the issue and they got back to me within an hour or so on how to complete a return. I was assured my exchange would go smoothly and that the model I would receive in exchange would be QCed to an even higher extent. They kept me updated on the entire exchange process and I had a new knife within 4 days of them receiving my returned one. I can happily say that this new one has no lockbar failure! Not only did I get an exchange quickly with 0 annoyance, but they also refunded me more than the cost of shipping for letting the knife slip through the QC process with lockbar issues. I really can’t say enough about how far good customer service goes, and I would 100% recommend that you buy this product with the confidence of knowing that if there happen to be any issues with your order, Exceed Designs will take care of it quickly and hassle free! Finally, why am I not giving this knife 5 stars all around? Well, I hate free-spinning pivots/barrel spacers and loctite put together…and this knife has a free-spinning pivot with loctite applied. This isn’t a HUGE deal, but it does add annoyance for people like me who enjoy taking their knives apart regularly for cleaning and re-lubing. Other than that, the customer service + the value you get for the price point make this knife a home run in my opinion!

First off I would like to say I love this product, what a beautiful and quality build it is. All I have to say that is bad, is when i was about to change out the back piece that comes with it that have the pry bar end. I notice the torx screw was a little messed up maybe someone was tighting it from factory too much and messed it up a bit. So I looked at all the other ones on the knife also and they were also little messed up also. Don’t think it will effect the function but the looks of it is not pretty. It does come with extras i might try to change them out later but i have to have some extra time to heat them up as the instruction that came with it did say they have locktite on them from factory. But this is a wonderful product I would recommend anyone to buy it!

  112. Steven J. Marrano

The folder is well thought out. It is comfortable to hold and is easy to change blades.

  113. Amazon Customer

Great job on this product. I have a higher end edc collection and will be carrying this in place of some items that are four times more expensive

  114. Shawn D.

review on version 3 Tirant. It’s quality at an affordable price. I wanted to stop using a knife as a box cutter but wanted to carry something nice, this is it. The flipper works great. It locks in place. Can change the blade without tools easily. Very little blade movement.I tried it out on a bunch of cardboard and it did fine with no blade dislodging at all, very sturdy. Comes with extra torx screws, a tool a i think a spare bearing. It was well worth the wait.

  115. Jonathan J. Bonafede

Opens very smoothly as good as my zero tolerance. I would definitely recommend this for each work great for boxes and fast blade replacement.

  116. gary p.

Awesome fit and finish. My only problem is that the blade is not secured well at all. Iv tried the recommended blades and countless others and they all will pop out when cutting. Most blades iv tried acutely don’t fit all. The recommended blades are about the only ones that will lock in. It is a nice quality feeling knife tho and for light duty would more than likely be fine

  117. nearyroat

Blade pop out EZ Not for heavy duty

Took awhile too get to me but communication with Exceed was very good, kept me informed along the way. This knife is fantastic. I own a ton of razor blade pocket knives from Klein, Milwaukee, Hart, Gerber and others. This is the only thing I have used so far that feels like a Knife from a Knife company. Not a Knife from a Tool company. Compact, comfortable, very light, great blade retention especially compared to competitors. This is a good one.

  119. Terebush

Very well made, fit and finish is great.

  120. Alexzander

Love it, I collect knives and wanted this one to be my travel knife since I can remove the blade if need be without losing the knife. Quality control is very nice and the seller seems very personable.I’m thinking of buying more for gifts to the non-knife enthusiasts in my life since it’s easy to replace a blade instead of sharpening and the pry bar is an excellent cap lifter!

  121. Jason

The two pins holding the body of the box cutter fell out the first week!!! Good concept for a box cutter; however, the monies spent for this box cutter has been a waste !! Paid a high price for two pins to fall out! Been better off with a brick & mortar bought box cutter ! Been almost a month and still waiting for the replacement pins!! Went ahead and DIY’ed to make it work for me !!!Update : Business Owner contacted me and was able to give me a partial discount for the inconvenience. I appreciate the owner reaching out to me!! The business did indeed shipped the replacement pins; however it was lost in transit. However, since the owner reached out and tired to make it right, updating the review back to five stars!!! I greatly appreciate the customer service!!!

  122. J.M

See the photo attached, the small differences in the blades ( which are not very good) that shipped with this utility knife keep regular utility blades such as the DeWalt carbide edge ( which are one names in the listing as being tested and fitting properly) from fitting at all. The action is nice, it’s a pretty beautifully made piece. This comes from someone that owns Benchmade, civivi, and Spyderco knives to name a few. But if it only fits their blades, ( doesn’t fit any of the three that I had on hand) then what good is it? The photo speaks for itself. Tightly tolerances, which is good, but not set up for the DeWalt carbide blades that it says it will take. I reached out to customer service, but I don’t see how this could be addressed and will likely be returning this knife. What a shame, as it is a beautifully made piece.

  123. TheJuanAndOnly

The action was very crunchy and bad when I 1st got it. I tuned the pivot and oild it and now it flies open. I love it. EXACTLY what I was looking for. All other box cutters look like they came off a Dewalt Commercial or are really small or cannot take regular blades.

  124. Mal S.

Awsome product..I use this knife every day for work..Excellent customer support.

  125. Les perez

Well worth the wait surpassed all expectations both with utility knife and customer service paid for v2 was surprised with v3 knife and note explaining the upgrade and thanking customers for being patient I exceed designs for going the extra mile for the customer and I look forward to seeing what’s next

  126. Josh Wright

It has a very pleasing and smooth action that is very satisfying to play with. And it functions as designed. Love it!!

  127. Branden J. Hellman

I love this knife. It’s light, amazing, smoooooooth and seamless. It’s thought out extremely well and I’m going to buy a few more to give to best friends and my Dad.

  128. Tucker

It is the best utility blade I’ve owned so far. I used to carry the Milwaukee fastback everyday and I have since switched it out for this one. Unfortunately it doesn’t fit all blades and the pocket clip could be better. Overall it’s an outstanding edc tool.

  129. Asron87

I collect different razer blade knives. At first I was a little disappointed when I first got it. It just seemed too small to be a good edc that was still functional. I was kicking myself for spending this much. I didn’t like the blade release on this at first, it seemed like a cheap way of going about it… after a couple of days it started to grow on me. First off this thing is frickin smooth. It flips open like more expensive knives do. Just a little pressure and this sucker pops open. I found myself playing with it just because of the quality. Then I noticed how well it actually fits in my hand when its open and how well it hides in my pocket when it’s closed. When it’s open it’s big enough to get a full grip on it giving you full control of the blade. Then I noticed how the blade release actually blends in smoothly with the knife. It doesn’t dig into your hand like others do and most importantly it doesn’t accidently release the blade like some other brands do. So yeah that little blade release that I didn’t think I liked turned out to be my favorite part of the knife. Another thing I like is how the blade actually sticks out passed halfway. Meaning it gives you more of a cutting edge compared to regular box cutters that only have half of the blade exposed. I personally don’t really need the clip but it actually is designed to fit comfortably in your left or right hand. I’ve had problems with other knives that would dig into my left hand. So for this knife I’m keeping the clip on because of how comfortable it is and it also gives it a little extra grip. The lock release is function and securely locks it open. So far I haven’t had any problems with it opening accidently. The only part left is the keyring part on the bottom. You could brade some cord on it if your into that type of thing. My only con for it is I really wish that keyring part would have been a flathead screwdriver/pry bar. But I bought a knife, not a multitool. All in all I have to admit, this was worth the money. This is officially my favorite box cutter. Do yourself a favor and buy one for yourself and a friend.

  130. mdh

You get what you pay for in this world! This is a fantastic product, and you can tell it is designed and built with deep care and pride. The support is fabulous. I like this product so much that I purchased a second one.

  131. J M Hogan

EDC, work-approved, titanium-durability, easy to replace disposal blades, so always sharp, expertly designed, one-hand open/close, liner-lock, and very slim/compact/light for dress slacks.

  132. Kaylie

Great knife over all. Had a problem with my first one and the customer service was perfect and they had it replaced within a week! 10/10 on all categories.

  133. Bryce asay

The stonewashed version was on backorder but I decided to wait. After a month or so of waiting the owner contacted me and sent me the more expensive black version immediately at no extra charge. It’s always nice when people care about their customers and want make sure they’re happy. I would definitely recommend buying from Exceed Designs.

  134. Joey Tamura

Been looking for a high quality razor knife for a long time. Bought all kinds. Most are bulky and clunky to use. Love the fact that it of flipper design. My new favorite EDC! And I never leave reviews. This one is a definite winner. Going to order more.

A little smaller than I imagined but the fit and finish is impeccable. I’ve read about lock-up issues and mine locks perfectly. Fits every blade I’ve tried so far. I’ve been playing with it for days now because it opens so smooth. Worth the money and the wait!

  136. Gary

I was looking for a light and sturdy box cutter. I was impressed with the tyrant, I manly used it on boxes and plastic straps it works great.

  137. Alain

You get what you paid for, excellent craftsmanship.Quality material.

  138. Nate Morrow

Recently received this knife for work (Merchandiser) I cut a a lot of boxes and the form factor for this knife was very attractive to me. For some reason, its hard to find a utility knife that has a deep carry pocket clip that’s not $100+Right out of the box my first thought is its much smaller than you think but then you instantly recognize the quality and thought that went into this knife. The product comes with one of every replacement part you could need and the action on the knife is buttery smooth. One of the questions I had when researching the knife was what kind of blades will it fit? First thing I did was swap in a Tajima VREX2 utility blade and can confirm it fits. There’s a slight wiggle but nothing that made me like this knife any less.Great product and would recommend it to anyone.

  139. Alex Reinhardt

Great little knife. Stanley blades fit very well. The only complaint is the detent is a little soft for a flipper, but is easy to adjust how you open it to make up for the issue. Good fit and finish on the knife. I highly recommend buying one.

  140. Chris Conatser

I like everything about it.Flips greatLooks Greatand for me:works great.Save your pocket knife and use this handy dandy tool.Just do it.

  141. Amazon Customer

I bought this knife 3 or 4 months ago and carry it daily. It gets to work for a living. It’s operation is silky smooth, solid with zero play in its moving parts. In the last few days the latch was not secure when open. Contacted them about it. I got an almost immediate response with some suggestions of what to do as well as an offer to repair or replace it under warranty. As it turns out it just needed cleaning. The tolerances are tight enough that lint buildup in the groove for the stop prevented the knife from opening quite far enough. A bit annoyed with myself for not seeing it myself. I’ll accept cleaning it out a few times a year a good trade off for a solid well designed tool.It is a keeper. I’ll buy another in an instant should I lose it or my helper figures out how good it is and steals it from me.Ross

Tolerances are great works. Lightweight but feels study. I would really recommend the Tirant Razor to edc.

  143. Brian

TL,DR: wanted a EDC knife for work and play that looks and works the part; got that and what felt like a support team to go with it.for use case background. I work in a telecom field, so a lot of cutting and stripping back cable jackets, thick and hard plastics, and thin metals.the knife is extremely solid with no play in the blades and very smooth action; making it very easy to open (but not so easy that it opens itself) and use with confidence the blades won’t slip out. the overall all knife quality is excellent with a very hand finished feel, with tight tolerances.the only small negative being, because of the tight tolerances it can be a but picky with the blades used. which, honestly, isn’t a big negative since that tight fit is why the blades are so stable in the knife. but that is with the TiRANT V1. I haven’t tested the V2 yet but soon will.customer service is fantastic to say the least. I damaged the knife doing something quite stupid, and they worked with me, gathered info, reasoned promptly, and came up with multiple solutions to fix my screw up. so definitely the gold standard in customer service in my opinion.

Love this little knife! Exactly what I was looking for in an EDC utility knife. Fit and finish Is awesome!

  146. Thomas Vanderwall

This knife is a great edc. I got a new job where I was cutting a lot of cardboard and thick paper and I needed something that I could just swap the blade in instead of sharpening my knife every knight after work. This was the answer, and the ball bearing pivot just makes it that much better. I also tend to heat anodized my titanium edc and got impatient and decided to do this while the knife was still together, which ended up melting the retainer for the bearings, which was completely my fault so I messaged the company, explained what happened and asked if there was a way I could buy replacement bearings. Instead of buying them, they said they would send me replacements for free. Which absolutely blew me away. It was my fault they failed and they still sent replacements for free. Added this is for the V1

  147. Fred K.

Very nice utility knife. Stout locking mechanism that makes it feel solid and safe. The blade is easy to open and has no play. I have confidence that it will be on my hip for many years- and I’m a picky S.O.B.

  148. Blake Beaupain

I like knives man. I’ve had many from Chris Reeve, Reate, Grimsmo, Zero Tolerance, Shirogorov, Vero, etc. and the Tirant is in the same league for like half to a quarter of the price. Extremely good tolerances and beautiful drop-shut action; it came so well set up (oiled and pivot tuned perfectly) that I can tell someone took the time to personally make it awesome before it left the factory. You guys really rock, this thing is so practical and sick. Can’t wait for you to come out with more designs!

First off, if I could give more then 5 stars for customer service I would, Josh was extremely helpful and quick to answer any and all questions. This is a fantastic “flipper” knife . Small footprint in the pocket with a full knife feel for a utility/ box knife. You will not believe the smoothness of the flip when opening this blade, and the blades are held tightly. I’ve not had a single problem with the blade being pulled out while using it unlike some other utility knives I’ve used in the passed. This WILL be my go to for EDC until this knife becomes unusable and I will not hesitate to pick up another the day it does!Thank you Exceed Designs for all your help and I hope to use your product for many years to come

  151. Brian.P

When I opened the box and tried all I can say is Wow! I have some flipper and a lot utility knife but this is absolutely gorgeous, the flipper is smooth like butter, snug and fit, more than I expected. This going to be my every day carrying now. By the way I just change the Tajima blade to make it all black, and one more thing the seller (Josh Boram) is very gentleman guy. Thank you Josh! Sorry for my English.

  153. Sam Shalati

Comes exactly as described, with lots of extra goodies in the box, backup screws, pivot, etc. The seller (Josh) is also very awesome and delivers excellent customer service if you need it!– 2 Week Update –I’ve used the heck out of this thing, breaking down hundreds of boxes. Haven’t had any issues, lockup and blade retention are still solid.– 2 Month Update –This tool has changed my life in the past two months. I am taller and better looking now. My teeth are whiter and my hairline stopped receding.I now use my previous PR to warm up with on my bench press. Thanks for a great tool!

This is an excellent utility knife. Very lightweight being titanium. Action is so so smooth. Only Day 2 of owning but already in love

  155. Scott thornburg

Alert! Many of the negative reviews for this knife are for the v1 razor, this review is for the v2. Did not buy the v1 because it had issues with the blade coming out, so i held out, and abracadabrara, in walks the v2. I Really like this little thing. I work in shipping and receiving and use it all day long, and have had no problems. Lock up is solid and the blade stays put. Sturdy construction and good attention to detail, very slim and light, slides in and out of the pocket pretty easy although the pocket clip is a bit tight. That being said, I would make a couple of suggestions.First: if they are going to send extra parts and proprietary tools as a kit in the box, make the box with a magnetic closure instead of the slide out, the slide is aggravating.Second: dial in the detent a little more so the knife feels assisted even though it’s not, it’s a little disappointing to flip this and have it only come three quarters of the way out even when you have adjusted the pivot.Other than those things, this is a great knife and I look forward to more great things from exceed designs in the future

  156. anthony

Best knife and best serviceI broke the clip because I’m a damn child and mess with things. So I message them to see if I can buy a clip they sent one over free of charge plus the tools to fix it. Can’t complain about the price with such great customer service

  157. Raspwhirl

I can’t believe the quality. I know, for a box cutter HOW MUCH! But I have high end pocket knives and found out I suck at sharpening so this is awesome.

  158. Chris F

Awesome little EDC box cutter that act’s more like a pocket knife and has since replaced my benchmade bugout as primary carry knife.

  159. Marcus

Unlike other EDC knives I purchased, this one by far has been the best. I work in warehousing and I’m hard on knives cutting cardboard and plastic straps all day. This knife has been a workhorse.

  160. Will

I first saw this EDC razor blade and thought, ‘Hmm, I could see the benefit of carrying a small, disposable blade to— if for nothing else— just to save my main EDC’s edge from abusive tasks’I’m never going back to being without a razor blade everywhere I go. If so useful to be able to pick at small parts, cut drywall, scrape a ferro rod, and to remove the blade altogether and be able to get right on something to scrape (like paint, stickers, or dried food)I received the TiRant and was blown away by the quality and the smooth titanium feel in hand. No harsh edges where there shouldn’t be. Great deployment. Solid lockup. No lock stickI used my TiRant to tear down carpet at my sister-in-laws house. Cleared two rooms and really put the build quality of this razor to the test. It performed well and I didn’t feel any hotspotsI reached out to Exceed Designs to ask for a replacement part (not because anything had broken, but so that I could mod my knife) they were kind, responsive, and obliged my request. They didn’t even charge me for the part or to ship it!So, this is a quality tool and a quality company behind it

  161. Devon Basch

I’ve read a few of the lowest rating reviews on this knife, and I truly feel bad for the people who got a product that had a few flaws due to quality control. I believe this company has weeded out the bad apples or has tightened up in quality control. The knife I received worked flawlessly from day one, even with the blades that were shipped with it( much thanks for the included blades by the way, I wasn’t expecting it). I work at a sign company and do leatherwork as a hobby. I run the lenox gold( titanium tipped) blades, I have no slip or fit issues and they are paralleled by no other. I have had no problems cutting through 2mm aluminum sheet, making fine, detailed cuts on vinyl, or slicing through 3mm thick leather! i personally bent out the pocket clip a little for an easier pull out of my jeans pocket, but all in all its an A+ from me! Thanks to the designers and workers who built my daily carry knife!

  162. Christopher Kitts

Overall I like this knife a lot. The action is smooth. It has a great detent as well as solid liner lock with zero play. I think I have the latest version and have no issue yet with blades fitting. My biggest issue is the way it locks the blade. It’s just compression so i wouldn’t trust this knife if you need to put a lot of force on it. As an electrician there are times when stripping wire that I need to do this and don’t feel comfortable to get on it to hard.2nd and bigger issue is again with the blade lock. Because the blade is just held in with compression, whenever you cut something, the opposite side of the blade that is inside the holder rides against the holder making it somewhat dull by the time you flip the blade. So really if u need sharp blades you can’t use both sides of the blade. I’d rather them put a screw or something so I can use the whole blade.

  163. Barkingmad

I’m putting this latest update at the top because I find Exceed Designs deserves some defense :UPDATE 4-7-22 in light of the “Dangerous to use ” review my experience is Exceed Designs seems to have conquered that problem. I say this because I have two months of use on my Trant Razor V2 on large double wall shipping boxes at work and on the last one I noticed I was getting a whole lot of cutting resistance even though the blade I was using was very sharp. I kept at it with that little nagging thought that the blade has popped out of the knife for some folks in the past.MY BLADE DID NOT POP OUT ! ! ! and turns out I was getting excessive drag from a bunch of label glue that had got on the blade a previous day. I cleaned off the glue, rubbed the sides of the blade with a chunk of candle wax, as I do with many of my cutting tools (chisels, wood saws etc.) and now the knife is zipping through double wall cardboard just as it should. They seem to have SOLVED the blade retention problem. I have had this same blade in and out of the knife many times practicing using the blade clamp. When putting in a blade just be certain you have fully seated the blade and that the metal spring flap is flush and you to should have no issues with blade retention as long as you have the V2 version of the knife.PS: two months of ownership and I’m completely happy with my knife.UPDATE ENDS.Just got it today; not much use yet; some quick observations :It arrived weeks sooner than originally indicated. A notice packed with the knife said they had a critical shipment of parts that got lost in shipping and finally found.I thought, judging by pulling out on the very tightly sprung pocket clip, that I would have to do my normal thing and remove the clip and unbend it some to fit onto thicker pants but when I tried it I found it surprisingly adaptable. (it is properly heat treated steel, not Ti , but that’s just fine . . . as long as it works !)The bar that holds the blade in was impossible to move over enough to get the blade out on the first foray. When I came back to it later I found I could remove the blade if I concentrated on pressing on just the very edge of the bar; any amount of my thumb hanging over presses on the other half of the blade holder and keeps the blade from releasing. This is tricky but not a deal breaker for me partly because I tend to touch up or resharpen my box knife blades while in the knife. One can always loosen the two small screws to get the blade out.The fit and finish as well as the flipping action are out standing on this knife. First flip fired right out and locked. It is easy to flip and easy to close. I can’t say that for many of my flipper knives costing three, four or five times as much. The ball bearing pivot is super smooth and well adjusted. Maybe you don’t think that is any big deal on a brand new ball bearing pivot knife but I can tell you from experience that unboxing a three hundred dollar knife and not only finding the pivot too tight to flip but that the surfaces the balls roll on have little dents (Brinelling) is less than pleasing !I really appreciate the fact that Exceed Designs took the time to assemble and adjust the ball bearing pivot correctly ! ! !UPDATE : . . . about the pivot action. It hadn’t occurred to me to check the action to the follow extent and I did it out of habit, I mean this is a sub one hundred dollar knife and a box knife at that. To back up a little I consider the base price for a “decent” “real” knife to be ~$100. That is a knife that is not going to disappoint me too much or, as happens more often these days T-me off too much. And that was before covid and all the price increases. I may have to revise my base to ~$150 . . . hmmmm . . . .Anyway to back up even further one test of a high end ( think minimum of $400 or $500 ) well designed and well tuned knife is to close the blade about half way, point the handle roughly toward the ceiling and shake the knife a little to see if the blade will close under it’s own weight. Very often, even in the above mentioned price range one is disappointed and one must then close the blade all the way with one’s thumb or other hand. Enter knives in the > $1000 (yes three zeros) range . . . often with a preposterously heavy thick blade mostly for show. Some times these tend to close under their own (considerable) weight when shook as described above. For reference I give you Nick Shabazz YouTube Reviews of the Slysz’s Bowie & Grimsmo Norseman knives, respectively. What is Barkingmad going on about ? ? ?My point is this little Exceed Designs TIRANT box knife, with a very light blade, closes when shook like a knife costing in the many hundreds of dollars price bracket. THAT IS LIKE MAGIC AT THIS PRICE POINT and demonstrates in no uncertain terms the care that went into making this Exceed Designs TIRANT.From the perspective of a Knife Nerd this made my year ! (yes I’m easily entertained) but still . . . WAY TO GO E.D. !UPDATE ENDS.Upon opening the box I found the packaging and presentation to be first class. Super well done ! To see what I mean I guess you will just have to buy their knife ( but you won’t be disappointed ) .The esthetics of the screws and the pivot are very professionally designed and executed. So nice !I originally looked over the photos of this folding box knife and though I am a sucker for Titanium I decided to not buy this knife. I found the area above the actual blade to be too narrow for applying a lot of force to cut double and triple wall cardboard. Then the memory of this cool knife kept haunting me over the weeks (or has it been months ? ) and I came back for another look and ended up buying the knife. Yes I stand by my original observation but the actual product in hand is nicely rounded and at least should not be painful to use. I have, since the first look at this knife, broken the blade at the blade notch on a much less expensive folding box knife with a quick release blade holder albeit with a “comfortable” wider surface above the blade. TO BE CLEAR THAT WAS A DIFFERENT BRAND KNIFE.I now feel that these folding box cutters with quick release blade holders should, perhaps, be appreciated for their ease of carry and convenience for single wall boxes and similar cutting . For the very heavy wall boxes a standard (non-folding) box knife with a big bolt to clamp the blade in the knife should be considered. In other words for the more common single wall box etc., this Exceed Designs Tirant V2 should be a pleasing performer as well as a legit piece of pocket jewelry.More to come once I get some serious use / carry time on the EDTRV2. Look for “UPDATES”.UPDATE 3-13-22I’ve carried and use the knife for nearly three weeks. Cutting large double wall shipping boxes has proven to be no problem for this Tirant box knife the blade stays in just fine and the blades supplied with the knife are plenty sharp and well formed. From some practice taking the blade out I have discovered that it is easier to get the blade out if I grip the blade right close to where it fits into the holder and lever the blade in the opposite direction that I press the bar that holds the blade in with my thumb.I’m still very happy with this knife !UPDATE ENDS.

This is the best EDC folding utility knife out there. The flip-open action is quick and effortless. The lock is firm and consistent–yet easily disengages for closing. The blade holder takes a little bit of finesse to remove/replace blades with–def read the instructions–but most importantly it holds the blades safely and solidly. I don’t usually spring for titanium tools–but I have to admit this material is really nice: so light, strong, and well-machined. Very happy with this tool.

Many reviews prior to this one are for the v1. I’ve just received the v2, and it fixes many of the issues I had with my old one.The surface finish is great, even if the inside edges have some rough machining marks. The quick change mechanism is much more solid. The locking bar, while much more reliable than the previous model, still isn’t as good as my other knives. Even so, there is little to no play in the blade when flipped open without manually pressing the lock bar into position. The pocket clip is far too firm out of the box. This is easily fixed, however. The included pry bar is a nice touch. The weight and balance is also much nicer due to the new machining on the insides of the scales. This is the nicest utility flipper I’ve used. I’ll definitely be keeping it.

I am and have been a knife enthusiast for nearly 50 years. I’ve worked in various construction trades and have gone though thousands of utility blades and if I had to guess at least 50 utility knives both fixed and folding. For YEARS I’ve been waiting for someone to create a folding utility knife that’s not in a semi-disposable format: cheaply made and embarrassing to sport when I’m off work, but can also take a beating and be depended upon if I need it to perform in a stressful and demanding task should the need arise.Well a dude named Josh Boram FINALLY did it!From what I’ve seen this is indeed the quentesential gentleman’s folding utility knife. A gentlemen is, first and foremost, sophisticated; and this knife is nothing less. With its simple, ergonomic design to its flawless, efficient and intuitive deployment, this knife is set apart on all sides from anything I’ve seen yet. This is not to mention its above reproach, high tolerence machining and craftsmanship; a work of art in design indeed. And, though I’ve not actually taken it onto the job site, I have all confidence that this knife would stand up to virtually any abuse I could throw at it in that arena. The lock is secure and confidence inspiring and it’s construction is obviously highly thought out designed to both surpass anything in its class in performance and aesthetics.THANK YOU JOSH!!!👊🏻😎HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!👍🏻👍🏻

Very durable kind of knife that is light to carry around. Easy blade replacement.

The EDC box cutter market is full of multi hundred dollar options which people pay loads of money on. In reality these things are just a vessel for replaceable blades so there should be no reason as to why they would cost so much money. Exceed Designs has created a quality EDC, smooth deploying tool that doesn’t kill your wallet!

  170. Dillon Deitz

If your on the fence, I would suggest to not buy one, BUY TWO! Seriously they are that, I am avid knife collector/enthusiast. I have knives anywhere from $50-$400 and this stays in my pocket everyday. This is my new everyday carry, it’s so convenient to always have a razor sharp edge. The bearings are so smooth that it puts much more expensive knives to shame, you will sit there and flip it all day. The deep carry clip tops everything off. I was very skeptical at first but now I own three of these because I like them so much. If you ever have an issue josh will take care of it no questions asked.

The Exceed TiRant is by far one of the coolest knives to come out in the past couple of years. It is exceptionally high quality, flawless workmanship, and Exceed’s customer service in unparalleled. I couldn’t recommend more highlyP.S. for those leaving 1 star reviews because “the blades pull out”, that is happening because you’re using the wrong utility blades. As is mentioned in the instructions and by Exceed directly, some utility blades don’t come with accurate notches to hold the blade in place. Lenox brand, amongst others, will resolve the entirety of your problems. Contacting Exceed would also resolve this issue immediately.

I own many high end production knives and this knife is as good or better then all of them. I’ve had the need for a beater utility knife but absolutely hate that 99% of them are huge heavy disposable tip down only junk! I bought this used from amazon to save some money and was expecting there to be some kind of issues but you would of never known it was used.Just the right size to get a full four finger grip on yet still easily fits inside the smaller pockets of jeans. Fits extremely well in the hand and is very light weight. Comparable to a much smaller all plastic utility knife. Action is very good in high end production knife terms, and worlds away from anything you’d get at lowes or home depot. The only thing I do not like is how the blade changes. It is cumbersome and unintuitive. That is my one complaint. But luckily I do not require blade changes often. I use this as sort of a back up to my folder for menial or dirty tasks to save my main blades edge. Despite this, it checks every box for me in weight, size, action, and durability. It is truly a great tool.Absolutely fantastic utility knife. Highly recommend! Hell of a step up from big box brand junk.

  173. Phil D. Childress

This is a great design and thus far is working flawlessly. It has great weight and feels good in the hand. For the price, it is a tremendous value.

  174. brock

I typically carry box cutters for work (electrician) and then a fancy flip knife outside of work. This knife is the best of both worlds. Sleek, sturdy, modern, fast and has replaceable blades. This knife is so legit I bought a second one shortly after receiving the first just so I would have a backup in case I ever lost it. Awesome knife, there’s some room for customization but the only thing I have done is anodizing and it’s perfect!

  175. Linda Goodspeed

This is a great knife. Very pleased with it. Using the DeWalt Carbide blades in it.It would be a little more convenient for EDC if the pocket clip was designed for deep-carry, but that’s a minor thing for a solid overall knife. It feels good in the hand. When open, the flipper tab is a stop to keep fingers back. The exposed length of blade is longer than on most utility knives, so for some tasks it isn’t necessary to use the tip for cutting. It’s an excellent alternative to a standard pocket knife, especially for tasks that would beat up on a blade edge. And it would be perfect for someone who wants a good-quality and very sharp pocket knife, but does not want to take onthe task of sharpening a high-quality knife.

  176. B. Broussard

Love the improvements from the v1. Worth every penny. It’s my favorite edc.

  177. Athen S.

The size is the best for the edc.It has one of the best actions for a utility knife for the price. Reminds me of a zero tolerance.

  178. Satansicle

I usually avoid flippers and frame lock knives, but I really like titanium and this was the best option out there. This knife is superb! Immediately it has become my go to EDC work knife. Superior build quality. Precise manufacturing and assembly. The blade is just a tad bit loose when installed, but that won’t effect its use at all for me. Highly recommend

I have been looking for a folding utility blade like this for years. I have tried many and they all disappoint in one aspect or another. This knife does not. I love everything about it.- lightweight- one of the smoothest opening knives I’ve ever had- easy change blade- easy in and out of pocket- easy to use one handed- virtually disappears in your pocket- comes with extra parts- utilizes more of the blade than other utility knivesI have been using it everyday for about 2 weeks. As of right now I have zero complaints. The price doesn’t really bother me. It’s a well made knife. I will probably be buying a second to have as a back up.

  184. Barkley

I was skeptical at first but the second I held it in my hand and felt the action of opening and closing the blade in my hand, I’m in love! This is craftsmanship!!! Well worth the price! If you’re on the fence on getting it, pull the trigger, it doesn’t disappoint!!!!

  185. tim

Love the company, love the product, 3rd purchase. One for me, others for coworkers. Couldn’t imagine how they could improve the v2, but the v3 is just incredible! It looks and feels so premium, this is a high quality tool that can take abuse while maintaining perfect operation and looking great while doing it.Great size for quick cuts and precision, disappears in the pocket, opening mechanism is super smooth. Easily the best premium utility knife on the market.

  186. Amazon Customer

Very lite and yet sturdy. Extremely smooth operation easy to use very well thought out design. Would and have recommended to others.

  187. John

I cut boxes for a living and have gone through a few utility knives beating them well past their life span. I always try to keep a back up for myself or a coworker so I thought this might be a nice knife that I could use day to day and not have something so industrial looking inside of my pockets. This knife is beautiful. you can tell how this was machined by hand and not some cheap chinese blade. Well worth the money. The frame lock is durable as the frame is made from titanium and yet so effortless to press with the thumb that you’ll be reminded to always close with caution after cutting your hand up a couple times. Be careful, this is a utility knife and fresh blades are very sharp. The lightweight design makes it feel as if it doesn’t exist inside your pocket. so I like to keep mine attached to my keys since I don’t want anyone else handling the blade as they might use it like a hammer.Blade removal is simple and this will fit dewalt carbide blades. From the use I have put this through I can tell that it will last for years to come. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and very grateful for the faster than expected shipping speed. Communication between the company and buyer is also fantastic. Nothing but good things to say about my experience

  188. Ronald Villarroel

Best utility knife out there period. Its built like a tank, it did not work for me because i am a contractor who uses dewalt carbide blades for my crew and get those on bulk and this blades did not fit this knife. Razor tirant owner reached out to me and offered several solutions, that is customer service at its best!! But I had to pass since I had to travel and had not time… I can’t wait for the new version of this thing, rumor has it it may include a pry bar. If you use regular blades, this knife feels like luxury in your hand.

  189. Nick

Very high quality knife, feels great to use.The owner/manufacturer is great and has wonderful communication. The knife was very late due to a supplier issue, Josh(the guy making them) kept in communication and even upgraded me to the v3. This knife is very well made, everything moves smoothly and clicks perfectly in place. Highly recommend knife and business!

  190. bradley billingslea

Well worth the wait beautiful razor knife in the spare part kit it was just icing on the cake

  191. Justus Gilbert

Fantastic design. On the pricey end, but we’ll worth it for the quality and daily usefulness.

  192. Aydan

Absolutely love this utility knife by Excede Designs! Mostly used the first version which I immediately loved but recently bought the second version (V2) and wow so much better. The upgraded pocket clip, the improved bearings easier release and skeletonized body. Definitely hands down best utility knife that is also a flipper which makes it 10x more enjoyable and worth having.

  193. Alex Gulya

Loved this knife from the first sight! I had pretty long story with the order – my first order have been stolen from USPS at the delivery day. But Josh (company owner) covered this loss , so I ordered again. I am really happy with it. It sits in hand very convenient. Replacing rear pry bar took some efforts and I even thought I’ll might break it, but it went well at the end and definitely worth it! Opening is smooth and nice! Quality of all elements of this knife just great. I also happy that it comes with spare parts. And it looks really cool. I already advertised it in my office, and my colleagues thinking to purchase it too. Thank you for amazing product!

I love everything about this knife platform utility razor. Probably my best Amazon purchase so far. Shown with my stonewashed Titanium ZT Hinderer, they go hand in hand. I plan on owning them a lifetime, which they will probably last. The lockup is excellent and ball bearing action is super-smooth.The Titanium handles are lightweight slim yet substantial.Came with a deep pocket setup, it is easily concealed in any shorts denim or thin fabric pants.Plus it just looks good. All the good YouTube reviews were spot on. Believe them.

  197. Ted McMuffin

So far this thing is fantastic, lockup is good, finish is good, bearing is butter smooth. But that’s not what this review is for.I ordered this back in the beginning of November, disclaimer stated that it was a 3-5 week lead time. That was fine, it looked good so I was cool with waiting. Here comes the first week of December and Josh the owner, reached out and apologized for the wait, and said if I still wanted the stonewashed I could hang in there, but it was going to be another 2-3 weeks, OR, I could have one of the black finished prototypes for free as an apology, and sent me a couple pictures of them side by side, my response was heck yeah, lets do this, that looks sick.I then got a shipping notification within 2 hours. These are great people, and this is a great knife.

Nice titanium utility knife. They upgraded my bearings to ceramic which was nice. This thing has such good action I can’t believe it. All the extra parts or a bonus. Very happy with knife.

  201. Joseph

Edit: v2 of this knife solves the following complaint that I had with v1. This knife is now flawless out of the box, IMO. It’s always refreshing to see a manufacturer revise their product based on customer reviews. Also, their customer service is A+++Original review: There’s so many things this knife does right, but I do have one minor complaint. I’m not going to take any stars off because it’s easily fixed with a dremel. Ascended design added jimping to the locking part of the knife, right under the knife’s clip. I assume it’s to grip your jeans so the knife doesn’t accidentally come out of your pocket. But this jimping is not rounded at all. It’s got very sharp 90 degree angles. After very little use it started destroying the inside of my jean pockets. I rounded the jimping down a little and it has made a world of difference for my jeans. The knife still retains well in the pocket, but I don’t have to worry about my pockets being destroyed.

  202. Larry J.

This knife took a while to get here but it is definitely worth the wait! Very well crafted smooth action just a pleasure to use. There is only 2 things that I think would make this absolutely perfect. #1 it is a little tricky to change out the blade, with time hopefully I will get better at it. #2 the spring/mechanism that opens it is a little weak. Sometimes it doesn’t open with enough force to lock. Both of these so called problems are probably easily fixed with use over time. Overall the best everyday carry razor knife I have ever owned with out a doubt. If your on the fence about delivery time order it now. The sooner you order it the sooner you’ll get it. Wish I would have bought 2.

  203. jas

Absolutely the best knife I’ve laid hands on.

  204. Marcus Kim

I use and keep stock Dewalt Carbide DWHT11131. Though the blade fits in the housing, the blade point is a bit longer and because of this the length keeps the folder from closing. Don’t know about other blade brands…but for Dewalt, a let down for sure.

I love this knife, it’s simplistic, rugged, reliable, and smooth. I liked it so much I just ordered one of the imperfect ones to have as a backup. I can’t wait for their Avair knife to be released!

  208. Bill Lund

Very well made with attention to detail. Sleek, strong, smooth and beautiful. Don’t hesitate to purchase.

I bitch about everything. Never give 5 stars for anything. This thing though….this is the exception. It’s amazing and worth more than I paid. I waited a few weeks but ended up with a V3 and am beyond impressed. It’s chinese made but you’d never know. If you’re on the fence climb off it. This knife is awesome.

  210. Evan Ramsey

Amazing quality. The machining is top notch. The handles are milled out, and it’s titanium, so it is super light. It’s also sturdy, but the action is butter smooth. Detent is perfect and the lockup is solid. No play/movement on the blade holder. Super thin and small, so it disappears in the pocket. But when you open it up, the blade holder provides space to choke-up and get a full grip. I have big hands and this fits great. It is very fidget friendly. I can’t recommend this enough. Especially impressed by the design. In-hand, it becomes very apparent that a lot of time and consideration went into each design element. The value is really impressive. I’m going to be on the lookout for anything else this company releases. Good stuff!

  212. Mike Estrada

I love EVERYTHING about this utility knife including the packaging. If you’re looking for a gift to give to the person that has everything (I have everything) then grab this and gift away…they will love it!

  213. Jun E.

They said that it would take 3 to 5 weeks and I got it in less than a month. Overall, the design is superb. Blade replacement is not as easy compared to the usual hardware store box cutter, but with the right technique, it is easy enough. The Stanley blades that I normally use fits like a glove. I just wish that they used bigger screws and it came with the pry bar pre-installed.

  214. Amazon Customer

Item is made of quality materials and fits very well together. Rigid construction, mechanisms have smooth and tight action, slender, and has the right amount of weight. Fits perfect with DeWalt Carbide tipped blades. The price is a bit steep, but it is absolute quality.

  215. Meat Master

Man this thing is awesome. Ive had it a few months now and no complaints. I use it everyday for stripping insulation off of large cables and wires and slitting the throats of my enemies. Chicks dig it too.

  216. Kindle Customer

This super small, light weight razor knife opens to a full 6 inches. Made of titanium it’s strong, but so light you’ll forget you have it in your pocket. The ball bearing design allows for retightening of the blade with ease. I bought this knife because a friend recommended it, but I was skeptical. Seeing is believing! Lightweight, strong, blade easy to tighten, closes and opens with ease, this knife has it all. The only thing I could find wrong with this purchase is that I didn’t buy four more. I will be fixing that error fast.

  217. Fooy

This completely exceeded my expectations. Well worth the wait. Cannot say enough about this knife / box cutter.

It has a good feel in your hand. I like the clip. It stays shut and opens with a positive click lock. A slight push of the thumb releases the catch and you can close it. A slight push of the thumb allows the blade to be quickly changed. No screwdriver is needed. I think this is going to be my go to utility knife. Titanium should last a long time. I hope I don’t loose it! I guess I could put a lanyard on it.

This is truly a dream come true. This knife is what I’ve been waiting years for. A compact, precision made, sturdy, and stream lined box cutter, which as an edc makes me feel very secure. It literally opens like a switch blade once you grasp the mechanics of it. Would recommend. Bravo!

  220. Nikki

Without a doubt this is the best folding edc utility knife available. Wow. Buttery smooth operation, high-end tolerances, wonderful customer service. Spyderco and Benchmade wish they had these good of tolerances. This is the type of company you want to succeed in this day and age. They obviously care and want to make the best product. Bravo.

  221. Michelle

It feels very sturdy and has an excellent action! Zero complaints and I know this will hold up for a very long time!

  222. joshua powell

great little knife well built, can cut 3/4in rubber mat for horse stalls without any blade sliping. i also have a cub flipper razer knife and while exceed is slightly thinner and a tiny bit shorter its built just a well and has extra parts, well worth the price and if you need a 1 handed razor knife becouse you work with your hands full this is your best bet.

  223. 6D6M6

I’ve been searching for an everyday utility knife carry for years. The makes I’ve used always left something to be desired. The TiRant V2 checks all the boxes for fit, finish and quality build. Zero blade play, approximately 50% lock up, excellent action out of the box, customizable and made with materials meant to last.To many people looking for a utility knife maybe they’d be better served with cheaper disposable- this one bridges the gap for someone that is looking for that exclusive more refined feel of a quality pocket knife. One that can be used without fear yet makes you proud to have something that is so well built. The use of utility blades gives the ability to have a sharp edge within seconds. I resharpen my blades- color me cheap but I get a lot of life from a .10 to $1 blade. Having a great “blade holder” makes perfect sense.Don’t balk at shipping times, Exceed Designs delivers! When you open the box seeing all the spares with the TiRant that you may need over the years and that terrific first flip- your doubts all go away.

  224. Taylor Peck

Great product, great utility, flipper action is smooth, and it is a nice, well-sized knife.

  225. Sandman

Long wait, but really excellent communication with owner. Anyone who runs a business by now realizes that getting supplies has become surreal almost as bad as hiring employees. I was attracted by a Youtube video, and it did not disappoint. I’m not sure what was going on with the 1 star review, but I have had zero problems with mine. Light enough for my shirt pocket at work, I use it all day every day and have been very pleased. Like some other customers, I was a little hesitant to carry something I wouldn’t like to lose, but the light weight, quality build, and attractive appearance more than made up for it. I haven’t had to replace a utility blade in years because I keep them sharp with a leather strop.

  226. Tim Nation

Yes…the V3. Love it. ***** 5 stars. The next generation Tirant is in hand. This V3 now becomes my preferred E D C just as the first and second generations were. One solid tool with fine versatility. I have used the Tirant V1 & V2 as my primary (and often exclusive) E D C since my fist purchase. Each gen has improved upon the previous one. This is true once again. I’ll leave it to Josh and Exceed Designs to clarify the changes but the V3 is just as solid as it’s predecessors, great in hand, smooth in operation. It accepts even more blades locking them firmly in place. Just like the V2, it comes with accessories and replacement parts beautifully packaged. Hats off to Exceed Designs for an incredible practical tool that feels, functions and looks great. T Nation

  227. Isabel

I love everything about this knife, so glad to add this masterpiece to my collection!!

  228. Brian Cross

This is by far the best, “box cutter”.Design is well thought out. Easy to open.Little bit of a learning curve with blade change out but once you do it, it’s easy. Definitely makes the cut.

  229. Scott

I’ve been waiting for a utility knife like this for years! On a day-to-day basis, I’m usually just opening packages, cutting boxes, etc. As a knife collector, I enjoy carrying a nice blade as opposed to the standard off the shelf utility knives. But this knife has changed that. This thing has the features, tolerances & build quality of a high-end folding knife, while using replaceable utility blades. We’re talking titanium scales, a replaceable steel lock bar insert, ball bearing washers, and high quality hardware that makes it easy to disassemble if needed. The blade holder has no play in the pivot, and the action is super smooth & fast. The utility blade doesn’t rattle around either. Really a top notch piece to add to my collection & carry daily! Looking forward to more products from Exceed Designs!

  230. Armando del Real

i have a chaves chub and for the price, the tirant is better. 60 dollars vs 220. very pleased with the quality, design, and the price. hope prices dont skyrocket as they typically do on gems like these.

  231. Wade

I ordered the V2 about 5-6 weeks ago. I read in some answers posted by the manufacturer that they were sending orders out with the V3 due to the extended wait times. I received the V3 today and can’t express how impressed I am. I may be in the honeymoon phase with this product and will update the review if needed. Personally, I could not see how a utility blade knife could be worth $70, but that is the type of blade I EDC and almost every review was great, so I tried one out (not going to lie, I had every intention of returning it). The flip open action is smooth as butter. If you are on the fence, go for it – you won’t regret it.

  232. Paul Meiners

This is a great little utility knife. Tight tolerances, very thin, flips open easily once worked in. Had my first one but lost it , clip did not keep it in my front Jeans pocket. Just received my second one, the new clip is much stronger, has not moved from it’s position in the corner of my right front Jeans pocket. Best to get carbide utility blades, they last so much longer, Home Depot has them . Design is great, looks great, craftsmanship superb.

  233. Travis

I don’t see anything that I would change. This is a great EDC razer blade holder. If you’re on a roof all day cutting shingles, this isn’t the knife for you – use something full sized/hand filling. If you want to slip a razer blade into your pocket – this is the best option on the market in my opinion.

  234. Andrew

Very elegant product. A very fun flipper, very well designed and built. No play in the blade holding mechanism, and it is very convenient to be able to change the blade without needing any tools. So much better looking and performing than anything else out there. 10/10, well worth the price.Update 8/5/21: Still loving my knife! I recently asked a question about the new V2 version, and it was promptly answered by the seller. Decided to buy the new V2 updated version of this knife as a gift since I loved the V1 knife so much, and had some issues with shipping. Seller solved my problem within a day of reporting it to them. Very pleased. I’ll certainly be keeping an eye on this company, and will definitely continue giving them my business. Great products, great customer service.

  235. Matt

The knife comes with a very cheap Allen key, which became stripped when I tried to remove the belt clip. So I sprayed oil on the screw, and then tried again with a T6 Allen from my iFixit tool kit. This time, the tip of the Allen broke off inside the hex screw. So here’s my suggested solutions going forward for this product: 1) since people are so picky about belt clips, maybe the knife should be shipped to the customer with the belt clip detached. 2) or the customer should be given a stronger Allen bit + driver.Edit: After carrying it clipped in the corner of my pocket for a while, it feels much better than leaving it kattywampus at the bottom of my pocket. Glad I failed to remove the clip!Follow up: this knife only accepts blades with deep grooves. There are many blade brands that have shallower grooves, and won’t fit. Irwin serrated blades for instance won’t securely lock in place in this knife. I hope they can improve the knife by making it compatible with more blades.

  236. David Moffatt

I was having an issue swapping the spacer for the prybar that was entirely an airbrained moment on my part. I reached out and Josh at exceed designs responded the next morning with a helpful suggestion that made me realize what I was missing in a ‘duh’ moment.Otherwise I’ve been using the knife for a month. Good fitment. Very secure blade. Works with the 3 kinda of utility blades I have around the shop. I’ve used it for Random tasks from tape and cardboard to marking boards to even trimming PEX tubing. Only complaint is that the geometry of the prybar is not that useful. Would love to see something like a 1/4 hex cutout through one

  238. tongystunter

Exactly what I hoped it would be

  239. Christopher Johnson

Perfect lightweight and solid razor folder. Just like their other products, this thing is nothing but quality! Just what I expected!

  240. MHR

Seriously this is the best folding utility knife, especially for the edc minded. It’s not going to stand in for full size Klein type unity blande handle for carpet installers. But as a pocket knife alternative for those of us who actually have to make lots of cardboard cutting and package opening, this is excellent. The thinness of a utility blade can’t be beat, and although I enjoy sharpening as a hobby, it’s nice not to have to worry about chipping a blade on concrete while tearing down boxes. I have a pretty substantial knife collection with CRK, benchmade, spyderco, etc and I prefer this for cutting. Sure, some others might be nice to look at, but so great to cut with. Not to say this isn’t a good looking knife. I can’t believe the value either. Titanium frame lock with lock bar insert, ceramic detent and ball bearings, deep carry pocket clip, prybar insert included along with extra pivot, screws and wrench for maintenance. Astounding. Closest thing is the Chaves Ultramar which is way more expensive. As far as made in China stuff. There are a lot of high value low cost knives coming out of China. WE, Kizer, Artisan Cutlery, etc.Won’t regret this one…

  241. CODYJOE44

Robust yet small…light but able to take care of business!Owner even reached out to help me get a different color so I could have it faster!..that is my definition of an American product and an owner with American values! I’m a veteran and that kind of customer service is far and few between today!I would definitely recommend!!

  242. Amazon Customer

From front to back this is the best and most useful thing I carry with me everyday. Beautiful design and smooth with the bearings. Josh is amazing with communication and over all I am not only extremely happy with my purchase but it’s without a doubt my new favorite and a beautiful piece I will have and carry for a long time to come.

  243. Kamil A Caban

I use it at work. It’s a machine. Fits most of the blades ( make sure you get right one). Small in the pocket but good size when opened.

The first version has been my every day carry since I got it about 7 or 8 months ago. I have plenty of nice folding knives I could carry, but this one just fits the job the best. Now this new one is even better. Deep carry clip! It also just feels more sturdy. The centering is better. Plus all you get with it. An included pry bar upgrade, are you kidding me?!? Extra parts and tools! The original is one of my favorite knifes of all time, now they have gone and made it better. Stop thinking and just buy it before they realize they could sell it for $30 more.

  246. chris pohli

So I just wanted to say first of I’ve been buying looking for razor knifes for a long time. I’m an electrician and I strip a lot of wire. I stumbled across this on Amazon and said what the heck I’ll give it a try. Great works amazing smooth. Sturdy blade and fits the Lenox gold blades. Easy to swap out then other edc tools. Got to say this is the perfect size to fit in your pocket and quick on the draw for use. Will be looking at other products to purchase. Keep up the amazing work

  247. Shane Smith

I love this little guy. My lock engages over 50 percent. I have hundreds of knives and this is by no means dangerous to use. If anything I’d like it to lock up slightly earlier. But it comes with a ton of extras even a lock bar insert. Which may change the lockup not sure. This thing is amazing. I ended up getting the black one. Mine is a bit different. The finish in the corners looks kind of weird. But it’s a user so I don’t care. It still looks pretty damn good. And has pretty damn good action. Also. Customer care is amazing here talking to these guys was extremely pleasent and I apprieciate them a ton. Thanks again guysPs. I want to emphasize the customer care quality here. These guys will go above and beyond to fix any issue you have. He truly cares for his customers

  248. H. W.

The Tirant Razor V2 is an elegantly designed and solidly manufactured product. Not only do I appreciate the well thought out design and impeccable craftsmanship associated with this purchased folding utility knife, I also appreciate the inclusion of what constitutes an extensive kit of spare (and accessory) parts for the product, itself. More knife companies should include these kinds of spare and extra parts, yet, most simply do not. Exceed Designs appears to be a company that actually cares about its customers and the Exceed Designs Tirant Razor V2 is, in my opinion, not only a great product, but also a very useful tool, and an excellent value!

  249. Steve

I ordered this product as a b stock item, and it came quickly in like new condition. The body has no flex at all, and the blade is suitably firm while still being easy to replace. The compact size and clip allows me to conceal it seamlessly in my jeans, so it take it everywhere now. I hope to see a black color option in the future and look forward to additional accessories that will be released for this utility knife. I have included two photos of the knife with exaggerated contrast.

  250. Scott W of Federal Way

Very good design. Excellent Easy to change blade. Solid. I wished there was a cut out and stud to open in addition to the flipper tab. I’m also a big fan of button locks. You won’t be sorry if you buy

  251. Doug W

An awesome, premium box knife. Sure you can go buy some cheap ones but why but 50 of them over a lifetime when you can buy this and pass it down to your children. On a side note it’s also got some great, fidget friendly flipping action.

  252. Cary Henderson

Picked up this knife for use on the job. The thin profile and flipper action make it easy to carry and use; to the point where I just bring it along all the time now, whether I’m working or not. The only thing I would have wished for was that it had a deep carry pocket clip, so I am glad to see that included on the v2. In short: I’m about 8 months into ownership and it hasn’t let me down yet, so figured it deserved some love. Bonus points for coming from my home state.

  253. Chris Kelly

  255. scotty

Let me just start out with saying wow!!!! Finally got it in my hand and this thing is awesome, the action is like butter and detent is perfect. And josh has got to be a great dude all American made small company all hand made so shipping to a little extra which I was fine with but he upgraded my package very exited. All I can say is do yourself a big favor and just order one.

  256. M_Kempy

  257. Amazon Customer

This is good for everyday use. It opens so smoothly. It’s very solid tool for cutting pretty much anything. It slides out of the pocket very easily. I just wish the pocket clip was longer and shaped a little differently so it stays in the pocket tighter. But overall a wonderful tool that I carry everyday for work.

  258. Neal

Didn’t want to wait so I ordered used, I assume the B was from the blade having the slightest give nothing I’m concerned about its normal if anything else, and I had to move the lock over to fully hold the knife open. Other than that it’s a sweet utility/pocket knife if they ever have a v3 I’ll definitely have to have a couple, would be perfect for a gift

  259. Robin Dunn

Excellent knife, there’s no play in the blade or in the locking mechanism. Light weight and a lovely addition to my work kit. Also, excellent customer service!

  260. JZ the reviewer

just got it and i love it; great quality for the price. The longer handle performed better than my big idea titanium razor and at a cheaper price point.weighs in at 2.29 oz without a razor installed, and deploys as smooth as a spydercoin regards to razor compatibility, razors with shallow cut ins won’t fit in this holder you must buy razors with the deep cut insi use “Lenox Gold 20350-GOLD5C Titanium Edge Utility Knife Blade” they have the deep cut ins and you can buy them on amazon

  261. Amazon Customer

Solid, smooth action, enjoyable to use

  262. Michael La Guidice

Amazing flipper utility knife. It’s the only one on the market I’ve ever seen. Is it expensive for a box cutter? Yes, but mostly no. I’ve had tons of box cutter over the years and being in the trades. This by far blows them all away. Its so sturdy and gives phenomenal purchase so no worry about losing grip. It’s so slim that I carry it everyday. Even going through multiple lettuces of thick cardboard this thing is Rock sold. I think we’ve all had cheap razors spit out while doing some cutting i don’t see that happening with this. Also the quick release of the blade is to notch. Can’t recommend enough and would definitely but again.Ps if anyone’s worried about the lock up of the frame lock you can adjust it with a torx bit. Buy this knife of you’re even remotely considering it.

I had been waiting a while for mine since they were on back order and I was contacted by the owner of the company and offered limited run black one, which I took advantage of. For anyone looking for a sleek but sturdy box cutter/utility knife- this is for you. Smooth action, very ergonomic, comes with all kinds of spares (blades, hardware, lock bar insert, pivot, prybar backspacer, and a T6/T8 tool). I’ll definitely be purchasing a plain Ti one once they’re in stock!

  264. Brandon

This thing is an incredible value. I also have the Chaves chub flipper that i paid $215 for and frustrating enough it doesnt seem much better if at all than this knife. Extremely happy with this razor knife

  265. Ricardo Rivera

Update: I contacted the company through Facebook and explained what was wrong with my knife and they apologized. They agreed to send me a replacement that same day and also refunded me $20. Far exceeded my expectations for customer service. The replacement has much better lock up and is still buttery smooth. I think this section of the knife could still use a little refinement. That being said, Striders in the 2000s had similar lock face issues so I think it’s forgivable for a new company. If there’s ever a second version made they should consider milling the inside of the handles to lose weight and using a deep carry pocket clip with recessed screws, so you pockets don’t get worn. Lose the back spacer and replace with barrel spacers for added weight savings. A lanyard can be tied around a barrel spacer very easily. I change my rating from a 1 to 4 stars because I feel the lock interface still needs refinement. Great customer service, really nice people to do business with.I love the design of this thing and I have been waiting for a manufacturer to make something like this. This would be a 5 star review but there’s one MAJOR flaw on the one I received. The lock bar doesn’t engage until it’s at 100%, crating up and down play unless you force the lock all the way over. I’m going to attempt to contact the manufacturer and see if they will exchange it for one with proper lock bar engagement. Will update

  266. David

Got this knife and love it! I have had other razer blade pocket knifes before but they were all too big. This knife has a great feeling and is light weight and slim! two factors I really want in an EDC knife. The replaceable blade is great it means never having to sharpen your edc blade. It came in a very nice hard shell case with extra blades and two screw drivers to replace the blade and check all the screws on it. I love the way it feels when opening and makes a nice loud click like other expensive knives. The ball de-tent in it is awesome and feels really good and is not to hard to overcome when opening. Being a machinist I was not sure what to except for an expensive titanium knife but I have been impressed buy the design and the quality.

Recommend.

  271. Collinb

So I had this knife for a day and I broke the clip. Contacted on fb and they sent me 2 clips. Pretty great but the guy told me to use a torch to loosen the loctite and somehow I stripped both sides of the t8 screws no big deal because it came with a replacement but I still had to drill out the old one. Kind of annoying but still love this compared to my my Milwaukee fastback I’ve been carrying for years. Thinking about adding some talon grips to the side though it’s a little slippery.

  272. Mark Comstock

Everything about this item is perfect. The weight, feel and construction is a mile beyond any other box cutter I have ever used. Worth every penny.

  273. Derek Quinones

This knife has the awesome factor perfect size for edc, the build quality and materials used is top notch! Uses titanium which will not wear out easily I’ve been carrying this everyday since I’ve received it y’all won’t be disappointed. Grab you one

  274. Jeff M.

Best utility knife I’ve found yet. I’m always on the lookout for a better razor blade knife design and this checks every box. Just like a good quality flipper knife it’s smooth, easy to operate locking mechanism, easy tool less blade change, pocket clip, titanium… it doesn’t get much better. Will have to see how it holds up over time but first impressions are awesome.

  275. Will

The knife got delivered a little over a month earlier than estimated delivery. Still took about a month, but it’s very much worth the wait. This is the best razor knife I’ve ever had or seen. Plus you can’t beat a knife that comes with spare screws and extra parts.

  277. Kemal

Fantastic utility knife, and customer service is amazing if you have any issues. I haven’t had any issues with the knife as others have mentioned. Will be carrying this daily going forward.

  278. Industrial Engineer

Only problem you will have with this knife is if you have not purchased one yet

  279. Jordan bruno

Not allowed to cary a knife at work so i wanted a nice utility knife. The blades that it comes with arnt the best but they’re a free inclusion so im not complaining. The knife itself is amazing.

  280. Amanda

I want to start this review by going over the product itself. This is hands down one of the best designed knives I’ve purchased and a steal at only $60! This knife disappears in your pocket and is there when you need it. The design is sleek, minimalistic and light weight but tough. The action is buttery smooth and this is just an overall hands down a great knife. What impressed me even more than this knife was the customer service. I had a minor issue with my first knife I purchased and within an hour of me reaching out, the owner of the company was working with me on my issue. After we talked for a bit not only did I receive a partial refund, but I was also sent a brand new knife. This company knows how customer service should be handled. It was fast, friendly and I wasn’t going in circles trying to get what I needed. This is how you retain customers. Good service and a superiors quality product. In the EDC community this type of service is a must and sometimes means more than the product itself (luckily this product is just as superior as the service).I have just purchased a second knife due to how much I enjoy my current knife and because the customer service was so good. I doubt I will get to use the second knife as these things are built to last, but if I ever need it I will have a spare! Thank you Exceed Designs for taking care of the EDC community and producing such a great product!

  281. Rey Allen

Amazing tolerance on this knife. ZERO blade play. Zero lock stick. The action is smooth. This knife far exceeded my expectations. What great value, and with extra parts given?! I haven’t found a knife that competes at this price point, and I’m a knife collector and enthusiast. Good job Exceed Designs.

  282. E-man

Fit & finish is so precise. Smooth opening action. So light you cant feel it on you.Dont put it down & walk away!!

  283. vtownbratt

I love this utility blade. For everything you get, the price is right. It’s light and smooth and just freaking cool!

  284. Brad Wickersham

I’ve always been a gadget fan but this thing is safe and convenient. Very well made 👍

  285. Scott

This utility flipper is exactly what I’ve been after. Light weight, strong, and very easy to carry. The company’s customer service is incredible. I was contacted by the owner who graciously sent me the jet black version instead, after waiting a good amount of time for the silver version to ship. Which worked out for me as I was wanting the black version anyway! So cool. Thank you!

  286. KB

I like everything about this thing. At work I need a knife for multiple things and since I received this my job has gotten way more efficient. The blade it comes with is very durable. The extra ten blades are as well. The dude who makes these things knows what he is doing. If I could give this thing a higher rating I would, and if you have seen any reviews that are less than five stars I wouldn’t take them into consideration. I still can’t see why they would leave such a negative review. This is an amazing product and if you are planing on putting this knife to work everyday, then I would get one. Plus it is so lightweight. Any issues with blades falling out must have been addressed because mine is used daily against wood and cardboard and I have not had a blade fall out or even wiggle. Thank you Jason.

  287. Frank Abignale

I love this knife! I have had it for a few weeks now and it’s been great! I have used it for my daily carry and it is amazing! It is thin and sharp all the time!

  288. Joe

I’ve had razor knives of all styles over the years, finally moving from my Gerber into something serious. I am glad I read reviews first and went with the Tirant! It exceeds all my expectations. The action is smooth as glass and Josh went the extra mile and sent the newest version which includes their new ceramic bearing. Great service from a great company! Happy to support an American business!

  289. Jeremy Brandon

This knife is honestly much better than I thought any utility knife could be, but there are some serious issues that shouldn’t be there at this price point.First the good:Blade play is practically nonexistent, which is very surprising in a utility knife.Flipping action is smooth and satisfying. The slim design and fully chamfered edges complement the titanium construction for a very appealing knife. The lanyard attachment point is nicely executed. The bad:Due to the design of the blade holder, changing blades is not an easy or quick task. The framelock barely engages the blade carrier, which is concerning. It can be pushed in to fully lock, but then seems to be engaged too far. For a $60 knife that’s inexcusable. The pocket clip is horrible. It seems like an afterthought, and a poorly executed one at that.Summary:This is a fantastic idea, and parts of it are executed superbly. Other parts are embarrassingly lacking, and I have to wonder if this wasn’t rushed into production without any real consumer feedback or real world testing. I’m not unhappy with my purchase, but if I had paid full retail at $85, I would definitely be regretting it right now.

  290. Cameron Sweeney

While waiting for this to ship there apparently was an unforeseen issue in getting the knife sent out. The seller, Josh, reached out right away and made me aware of the issue, and offered the best customer service I’ve had with any seller on here. I just got the knife in the mail today and all I can say is thank you Josh, you are awesome.

  291. John2F

I couldn’t be happier with this little knife. It’s a nice addition to my titanium EDC.

  292. Dan G.

I cannot stress enough how necessary piece of equipment this is, for anyone who is an enthusiast of all thing’s titanium, EDC, or great knives. The extremely tight tolerances, buttery smooth operation, and the “hand-feel” of this piece of EDC gear border it a work of art. I find myself constantly reaching for it, just to enjoy the feel of the flip and the tumbled scales. Again, while this thing has all of my confidence in its durability, the words “buttery” and “silky” come to mind. Every time I use it around anyone, it gets compliments, and a “Can I check that out?” This knife should cost well into the hundred-dollar range. I will definitely be purchasing a third as another heirloom gift. It is a rare experience to feel that one has gotten a value beyond what was expected, for a product that is what it says it is, and more. Plus, the customer experience provided by the staff at Exceed Disigns is above and beyond what has sadly become the standard for so many in customer service. I wish your company all the success that you deserve. Keep up the good work!

  293. David B.

If you’re considering this knife, get it! I know the wait is long but I promise it’s worth it! The price is unbelievable for such an awesome little tool. I’ve got a lot of mid-tech and semi-custom knives and was getting sick of destroying the edge and breaking tips cutting open boxes at work. I bought the Tirant V2 after seeing it on YouTube. It BY FAR exceeded my expectations for the price. Something tells me it will be in my pocket more than most anything in my collection. My sebenza will still claim the weekend spot but workdays where my knife will be abused, the tirant will be there every day. This is as close to perfection as you can come for less than $100. Even the presentation in the box is beautiful. Seriously, bravo Exceed Designs. You’ve got a real winner with the Tirant and I promise I’ll be a return customer if you continue to make such quality items at such an unbeatable price.P.s. I’ve seen some other reviews saying their blade slips out when cutting. They must have fixed this issue because mine is rock solid. There’s hardly any play at all.EDIT: Just wanted to add, by now I’ve tried probably 10 different blades from different manufacturers. The Lenox Gold seem to last the longest but have a fair amount of play and are quite spendy. The Lenox Carbide are the best of both worlds. They last much longer than Dewalt or Stanley while being around the same price (for a box of 50.) They also seem to be a bit thicker than the Lenox Gold so that they have very minimal blade play. Highly recommended.Edit #2: I just finished speaking with customer service about my knife. I had an issue with the pivot (issue that was not their fault.) Exceed designs immediately took care of my concerns. Not only is the knife fantastic, the customer service is as well. Seriously, but this knife, you will not regret it.

  294. Hunter

I have a bunch of different razor knifes. Most end up breaking or end up fighting to use them. Then I found this one which solved all the previous issues with other razor blades. Flipper tab, extra parts, blade compatability, and more. Yes the lead times seem long. And when mine was delayed I contacted them and the main person of exceed contacted me directly and helped me. Customer service is top shelf. Will be a long term customer

  295. Drummertist

They’re not lying about the tight tolerances of this knife. There is no (and I mean none) blade play. It’s light but feels dense, and just disappears in the pocket. Their customer service has been top notch with quick responses. This is my new everyday EDC blade. It should be yours, too!

  296. Joshua uzzell

If you are hesitant because of the price don’t be. This is a fantastic little flipper its all I’ve ever wanted in a utility knife. It will be replacement for by BladeTech ULU. This thing is sweet. Idk about anyone else but I give this 5/5. Came with 10 blades, manual, service tool, and a case.

  297. Chris Kelly

  299. Tad Groves

Josh, the owner of Exceed Designs sent me a V3 (Not officially released yet) due to some supply chain issues. As a person who has carried a folding utility knife for the past 25 years this is now my favorite. If this had a reversible pocket clip for us lefties I would buy many more of these. What a well designed knife with great lock up while still maintaining a slim profile. Exceed Designs hit a home run with this one!

  300. ah

I hate that I’m considering carrying this instead of my $200 locking folder with a certain insect emblem on it. Finally a utility knife with the build quality, beauty, and flickability of a nice folder. Can’t wait to see how it holds up to every day carry. After using for a day, my only complaint is the ridges cut in on the lock bar catch on my pocket. I filed/sanded them, which helped a lot.Edit: I’ve also added some grip tape on the handle to make it easier to draw. I love this thing.

Great EDC razor knife!Works fine with Lenox Gold blades.Great action considering it rides on bearings.Decent size. I do wish it was a tad bigger so maybe they will come out with an XL version next year!

  302. Coffee Lover

Bulletproof – This is by Far the best EDC Box cutter you will find. The price is super reasonable fo the quality of build – Purchase one of these – You can’t go wrong!

  303. Luke

If you are wanting an EDC utility knife that is sleek, slim, finely machined, and just fun to use, this is it. This knife disappears in your pocket and can be easily operated AND change blades when wearing gloves. I wouldn’t use it for installing carpet, but it’s a great choice for everything else.

  304. orlando garland

I’m beyond satisfied I just wish I could buy the previous versions.

  305. BillC

DETENT was too strong & wore out the Ball in the first week. Seller Said’ he would ship replacement parts & 1 week later no shipping or return messages ? Rumer is he fell into a rabbit hole & disappeared into China …

  306. Pey’s dad

  307. Gilbert porr

Bought bc I lost a cheaper folding ultity knife at work and boy what a big difference immediately from cheaper folding utility knives. The action is is the smoothest I’ve ever felt and the design is sturdy don’t see it loosening up anytime soon and if it does it comes with the Alan keys to tighten it which is nice. Come with better quality blades then the ones im usto using at work as well.Great little knife for work and for the price deffinitly won’t be loosing this one.

  308. Keith G

From prior reviews there seemed to be some issue in the past , but the product I got is pretty much flawless with very little issues. First off I’d like the seller for contacting me and getting me this black stonewashed version very quickly in place of the the plain titanium. Out of the box the knife was a little stiff but after flicking it open and closing a bunch of times it is nice and smooth. I changed it to the pry back spacer right when I got it. That wasn’t the easiest thing in the world but got it done. Only other thing I had to do was loosen the screw on the blade holder because it was near impossible to get the blade swapped. I really love the snappy opening, the detent is dialed in perfect. The finish is beautiful, happy he decided to go with this stonewashed black finish. The lock up it at about 50% so no lock stick. Pocket clip works for me even though I know some people with think they need more room. Comes with extra of pretty much everything. Overall I’m very happy with my purchase. Will update after I have it for a while on durability and sturdiness.

  309. Euni Figi

Product came exactly as expected. Thank you for the upgrade. This will be replacing my Gerber for the next decade.

  310. Jill

I have been wanting a nice folding utility knife for a long time and have tried many different types and brands. This is the best one by far. Feels like a high folding pocket knife with the benefit of replaceable blades. For opening boxes, stripping wires, cutting drywall, this thing is awesome. Super lightweight and smooth flipper action. The only two minor complaints I have are about the size and the blade retention. The knife is just a smidge small for me. I’d like it to be about a 1/2″ longer when folded. Don’t get me wrong, there is plenty there to hold onto when it is open, it would just be easier to handle when folded if it were a bit larger. The only other thing is that the blade retention is a bit hard to open. Not a bad thing while you are using it, but hurts the thumb a bit when changing blades. Overall great knife and great communication from the manufacturer. There were delays with my order but communication was transparent and clear and they came through with some extra upgrades even. Great job! Keep it up!

  311. Matt617

This is a quality piece of machining. Not just another box cutter. Its sturdy and strong while also feeling light. It opens smooth and locks in place with a solid click. Closing it is just as smooth. Its built on par with some of the more expensive edc knives I own. This is a product that is built to last. A piece that with normal care and maintenance can be handed down to the next generation. You can’t say that about many products anymore. If you’re looking at this and wondering if you should spend the money? Yes.. You will not be disappointed.

  312. Zachary Montoya

I have two of these, the V2 and V3. I love that Exceed Designs puts so much time and effort into upgrading and refining the Tirant Razor! Definitely recommend!

  313. Adam Freres

Much better quality than I was expecting.

  314. Kevin

I purchased this item due to constantly needing to cut stuff at work. This will save time and money because I can replace the blades and I’m good to go. It also has a pry bar attachment that will come in very handy. Thanks for a great product and for the quick shipping!

  315. Amazon Customer

Absolutely awesome knife. Great tolerances and the flipping ball bearing is sweet. There is hardly any play in the flipper or the razor blade holder. Only issue is the pocket clip snagged on my car seat and snapped off. Still waiting to get a replacement clip…..

  316. Nghiem Lam

So first, the blade keep slipping out even when cutting cardboard or opening boxes. Now, the screw at the base of handle has fallen out. I don’t know what kind of screw it was or how I can fix it. 🥲

  317. nicholas

I got one with lose screws then tightened them but that didn’t work I ended up losing 2 of the screws but it worked good for a week I guess

  318. Kris

The knife took a little while to ship, but it’s worth the wait. Initial impressions of the design and material quality are great. Can’t wait to EDC it long term.

  319. Tater

Received yesterday evening and initially all looked like great quality and several spare parts just in case, but I doubt will be needed.Used it all day at work and it’s PERFECT!Very well built and actually very comfortable for being a simple design and obviously very light being Titanium.Highly recommend for all day use at job or hobby.I’m very picky with my pocket clips placement on knives due to my OCD and this one is flawless, deep carry and still comfortable after a 12 hour shift on and off the forklift all day where others would drive me insane throughout the day.The only downside I could possibly see being any issue for some is that the blade retention is fairly strong for swapping the blades out. Personally I love that aspect of security, but for some it may be a little rough on the thumb when swapping blades out cause is dose take a decent bit of strength to slid it over. All in all highly recommend if your looking for a high quality utility knife to last.

  320. scoremaster

If you want a utility knife for normal stuff around the house or garage you suredon’t need to spend $60 bucks . maybe $ 6 ,, but if you want one to carry EDCThen this is the one for you ….

  321. Amazon Customer

This is a well-made, light weight, easy to carry with smooth action box cutter flipper.

Absolutely amazing quality knife. I collect knives and normally see quality like this sell for $200+. Customer service is also above and beyond. Was upgraded because of a delay that was on no part the fault of the maker. Highest of recommendations!

  323. Emily Lindensmith

I got a couple different revisions of this knife the first one had issues keeping the blade in when cutting carpet and really sturdy things and was really wobbly when doing so, the second one had a similar issue, but not quite as bad except when trying to cut shingles it became very wobbly and the blade wouldn’t stay in.I was able to get a third version of the knife from the seller and the blade release as well as the little knobs that hold the blade in the knife have been made thicker to prevent wobbling and to prevent the knife blade from coming out unexpectedly. This knife is made from titanium and is super light which makes it extremely easy to carry with you. You are also able to flip the blade out quite satisfyingly, which is kind of fun, but not really a recommended use for a knife. You should always use a knife responsibly.

  324. Mark Osterbauer

Though I had shopped around to find the best, budget utility knife/s on the market, after purchasing a Tirant Razor V2, I found they aren’t even in the same league as the Razor V2. I suppose they shouldn’t be for the price difference. ALL of the tolerances on the Tirant Razor V2 is markedly better than the typical rattily utility knife. Being much thinner (and not having sharp edges – apart from the blade) than almost all others, it’s something you actually want to carry. A significant advantage is that the blade is held with minimal slop – and does so while holding onto less of the utility blade. In so doing, it provides another 1/8″+ of useable blade area. That may not seem like much, but with the shortness of the edge of a utility blade, it’s helpful. This utility knife is impressive in well thought out design and excellent quality!

  325. D. Weaver

Exceed Designs is well named. The design and quality of the build are extraordinary. Has all the bits of a more costly knife in a well thought out and carriable razor knife. Just hits all the right notes with myself, from figitability, to lightness, and ease of use. Plus extra parts and tools to keep it well maintained.Going to enjoy carrying the TiRant V2 and seeing how long it lasts.

  326. John watson

Took some time to get the knife but we’ll worth it. Very light weight but very solid. Smooth opening and no play in blade holder or pivot. Love the extra parts that came with including the optional pry bar end piece.

  327. Jordan Powell

This is the lightest slimmest razor blade knife I’ve owned. I love it. It’s butter smooth on the action and doesn’t take much to get it open but at the same time it does a good job of staying closed. Really hope this company makes some more interesting solid products down the line. This thing is a must own.

  328. S. Paine

Excellent materials, clever design, and indestructible. The action on this knife is super smooth because of the bearing on the tension bar. Very nice innovation that will prevent any sloppiness. Also, this is easily replaced if it ever wears out. Swapping out the blades is a simple thumb-press away; you don’t need to loosen any screws. If you want a reliable utility knife to carry, this is the best.

  329. bujoojoo

Got this for Christmas 2021 and really like it. Used it to break down a ton of boxes over the holiday and had ZERO issues with it. Read some reviews from about a year ago and have had none of the problems discussed so it looks like they listen to their customers and actually make changes. Highly recommend.

Excellent flipper EDC razor knife!! Ball bearings, .Titanium scaled frame lock, very smooth… comes with a a Hard case, 10 extra blades, and double ended torx tool for disassembly and razor blade changes… Neat tool, there are a lot of cheaper options obviously, but the build quality and materials set the Ti Rant apart from the rest…

  332. Amazon Customer

Ok so the knife itself is great! Its a fancy box cutter. Does what it says its gonna do. Its light. Its compact. It opens up smoothly and satisfyingly. It looks good. It feels good. It takes utility blades. Win win all around! It comes in a well thought out package that includes a pack of cheapo chinese blades, a spare pivot, lockbar insert, crossbar, screws, an alternate rear spacer that purports to act as a mini pry bar and a combination torx key with a t6 and t8 on each end respectively. Theres no discernible play in the folding mechanism and the utility blades are firmly held in place, with no perpendicular movement and an acceptable amount of parallel movement, as much as can be expected of any utility knife. Now seeing the package of the blades got me thinking about the origin of the product, it had that waxy coating and distinct smell that I associate with cheap chinese products, the kind I find on that certain online marketplace that sells primarily lets say “competitively priced” goods that also begins with the letter “A” and ends with express. Sure enough I found this exact same product there with a steep discount, around 20 dollars.Or so I thought.Turns out the listing was for the first version of the knife, given away by the lack of the deep carry clip on the V2. Apparently it had blade retention issues but this problem seems to have been fully addressed, I havent had any issue with my knife thus far.If you wanna take your chances to save 20 bucks, well now you know you have the option. Regardless, I think the knife is well worth the price I paid here, and the fact it comes with spare parts is the icing on the cake.

  333. Michael Carman Jr.

This is exactly what I wanted. A slim utility blade to be pocketed with my full size multitool. Although its slim, you get a full grip on the handle. And the action is on point.

  334. Mystery

The first thing I noticed about the TIRANT was it’s minimalistic, yet sleek design, which I like. Also being titanium, it is extremely lightweight! After some varied use testing, I like the feel of the knife in my hand and have put it into my EDC rotation. There is literally no wiggle or play in the knife, suggesting tight tolerances with solid components. I fully expect this to last me for years to come. Solid product!

I use this blade at a warehouse for cutting stretch wrap off pallets from anywhere around of 150 to 200 pallets a day so this is being used a lot very convenient with the over exposed blade. Needs locktite for the screws when leaving QC…other than that it can take a beating

EDIT: 5 stars to 1 star due to ruining more in tools than what I paid for this pile of garbage. Two broken/twisted T6 and T8 (Craftsman and Wiha) trying to remove 1 tiny screw. Stripped almost instantly. Yes, I heated with a propane torch per the directions. Even mounted it in my vice to hold on to. Ruined several drill bits. Tried cutting a notch with a micro cut off disc, per the directions on the website, and still nothing. Why on Earth do you need to use blue loctite? This isn’t even a purple loctite situation here. Cool design and idea, but terrible execution on the screws. Didn’t even cut anything open with it. Boxed back up and sending back for a refund. This was not worth my time. Waiting on a refund to replace my broken tools. Thanks for nothing Exceed. I’ll stick with my Harbor Freight disposable razor knives from now on.Those instructions that came with it… read them! Go watch the video Exceed made to learn about the knife, including blade change. It’s slick and easy to use once you realize how it works!Light in the hand. Flips fast. Carries deep in my pocket. This is awesome! Absolutely love it. I bought a B grade one and I highly doubt it’s a B grade! I can’t find what made it go to a B grade knife.Fits my Lennox Gold and Stanley Fat Max Carbide blades just fine. Not sure why there’s so many issues. I’ll check my knock off no name blades at work tomorrow, but I’m sure they work too.

Recommend.

  338. Jordyn P

Simple, easy to use! Light weight, easy to change the blades, very smooth opening. Comes with extra parts and replacement parts! Even has a life time warranty! Definitely worth it!

  339. Ricky Pham

Better value than the other minimalistic utility knives on the market. Came acceptably smooth but after some pivot lube it had a perfect action. Slight blade play in the blade holder but that’s expected in utility knives.

This design is unbeatable. It’s pricey for what it is, but if you think about it, it saves your more expensive knives from daily abuse. I cut everything with this. The best part, when it gets dull, replace the blade. The only downside is the lead time when ordered. This took over a month to get in my hands, but they are made in small batches, and the quality is worth the wait. This knife is always on me. I’ve left my house without my cell phone and didn’t think twice about it, but this blade has to be on me or it just feels… well, weird.

If your looking for a high end every day razor, this is it. You won’t find anything around that compares.

The quality of this item is rock steady. The blade has just the tiniest bit of movement, but I havent had it slip or come loose once. It’s both smaller and lighter in weight than my civivi elementum and it flicks open with little to no effort. They send you extra bits and blades which are very easy to change out. My tyrant razor even drop shuts!!

  343. Ashgon

I love this so much that I’m buying 2 more as gifts! I have pocket knives of all quality from shirogorov to benchmade Koenig to Civivi. The Tirant V2 is in my pocket every day as my 5th pockect knife. I am a home inspector and use this knife everyday. A much have for sure!!!

  344. Ryan

This is probably the smoothest opening knife I’ve had in quite some time, and I’d rather not comment on how long I’ve spent just flicking it open and closed because it was so satisfying to do. The construction seems *very* solid, and I wouldn’t have any concern about using it as a short prying device when closed.Gripes are all minor. Could be a little cheaper, could be a little easier to change the blades (though involving an allen wrench is a small price for the blade being very firmly seated), the lanyard hole could be a tiny big taller. It’s not perfect, but absolutely none of which are going to stop me from buying a second one for “just in case”.

  345. Frank Servidio

Excellent design. I waited for the V2 to come out once I knew it would have a deep carry clip and I’m not disappointed. All the extras it comes with are a huge bonus. Smooth as butter, perfect centering and solid lock up. Pry bar backspacer accessory is awesome.Only gripe I have is when I disassembled it, the pivot had a really tough thread locker. Had to heat it up to remove. I’d suggest using blue loctite, especially since you’re promoting disassembly by provided parts. Mine was so tight that my driver slipped off and unfortunately scratched the scale a bit.Other than that, awesome design, great fit and finish and tremendous value!!!

This is my 2nd Tirant Razor knife. Not that I needed a 2nd but was interested in the new design. Always good to have a back up. All I can say is I have owned many razor utility knives in the past and NONE have compared to the Tirant. This company has hit a home-run with this knife.

I have had this knife for ONLY ONE MONTH- multiple screws have fallen out already and knife is coming apart. Yes I’m aware it comes with a small screw driver. I have to see if it has extra screws. But one month??? I shouldn’t have to be worried if my knife may or may not work today and if screws are falling out of it while I’m working. Kind of absurd especially how highly priced this knife is. Not to happy about it.

What an amazing knife. It’s exactly what i’m looking for in an EDC utiltiy blade.

  349. Czek

    Definitely feels incredibly premium!

  351. Rusty reed

I can’t say enough good about this knife! It’s slim and light with amazing action but also holds up perfect under hard use. I carry this every day at work it feels like a super high quality knife and it is! If your on the fence buy it! You will not regret it!

  352. Scott

Love it but wanted the scales never happened received a b other on said hell with it. Bought a way more expensive similar knive with grips it’s nice but not sleek like tyrant 2. But gun tape on tyrant and it’s my daily now. Other to bulky. It’s great more blade to use with tyrant than other.

  353. austin

This is a quality product that can hold up to heavy duty work. I bought one about 6 months ago and liked it so much that I decided by another. The knife is slim and feels comfortable in the hand, without feeling flimsy or unsafe. Throughout 6 months of heavy work, the action still feels great and I have zero complaints. A huge bonus is that many of the parts come in a set and can be replaced easily, though I am not needed to thus far.

  354. Manny

A great product that is well made and works flawlessly for a great price. Worth buying it!

  355. Guy E.

Great knife that feels good in the hand when using. It is easy to open and close with one hand which is nice when I have my other hand busy. It took me a little bit to figure out the blade switch but once I did it is easy enough and can hold other brand blades just fine even though another review stated otherwise. I

Owner of many high end knives including Holt, Grimsmo, Chris Reeve, GEC and Pena. This little guy exceeds expectations. The quality and function is excellent. Highly recommended.

i have about 6 different razor utilities. i carry daily so this is perfect length and weight … the V2 is the best so far …. little improvements are huge for me personally

This product happens to come with sore screws as well as a pivot for the actual blade/action when opened, replacement screws etc. This is pretty much a full package, giving you the knife, (I bought a used V3) with the replaceable back strap, etc for less a great price. Action of opening/closing the knife is very. Smooth action n great customer service!!
