    Wow! Just got my jet black knife and I love it so far. Feels great in the hand, and I love that it is as small/minimalist as it can be while still providing access to as much of the sharp part of the blade as possible. The knife is lightweight but still feels substantial and sturdy in hand. opening action is smooth and the lock feels strong. Comparing this to the Big Idea Design utilty knife (which has been my EDC for the last year), while quality is very similar between the two, the TiRant is smaller, lighter and I just like the minimalist square edge design more. I sort of wish I got this one first! Can't wait to switch out and make the TiRant my new EDC knife!

    You need to buy one of these! I saw these advertised on Instagram & thought “ sure, I’ll try it.” Expecting it to be a just another utility knife I keep in my toolbox. Wow, was I impressed! Agree with the other comments…excellent design, smooth as butter, and it feels like a high-quality tool in your hand. This is my new EDC in the shop. Super impressed. I’ll definitely be ordering another…do I have a dozen other utility knives - yes - but they do not compare!!

    I can't believe the quality of this knife. Out of the box I was immediately impressed. This isn't only the best quality razor knife I've owned, it's the best quality knife I've owned! It locks up so well and flips open with the flip of a switch. Amazing.

    I absolutely love the knife, the action is as smooth as butter. lockup is tight and solid. its design is sleek and aesthetic. The titanium construction, upgradable design, replaceable parts & compatibility with standardized utility blades ensure it will last a lifetime. The quality PVD coating seems durable and provides a pleasant feel and good grip even with wet or dirtied hands and as something i intend to carry everyday its thin form and extremely light weight is appreciated. In all, i find its design flawless and Its quality extraordinary. There are very few objects i am so instantly fond of that i feel the need to purchase a backup so that no matter what i may never be without one. this is one such object. and i will be placing my followup order immediately.

    I purchased the Tirant Razor V2 in January of 2022 and absolutely fell in love with it on the first day of carry. I had previously carried a pocketknife without a clip and got in the habit of using its blade as a screwdriver and prybar. That always boggers up the blade and is difficult (and time consuming) to resharpen, or in some cases, attempt to straighten the blade. I had previously never owned a titanium anything, nor was I very interested in spending so much money on a utility knife. However, I was drawn to the slim and light weight design and figured I should give it a try. I carried the V2 every single day until it somehow became unclipped from my pocket while mowing a 1.5 mile trail through the woods in September. I walked that path three times looking for it and had no luck. I loved it so much that I had to order another one. I found out that Josh at Exceed designs, had implemented a few new updates to the Tirant Razor and rolled out the V3. While it is even more expensive than the V2, I simply could not bear the thought of not having one with me. So $85, and about 6 weeks later, I am now the proud owner of the Tirant Razor V3. The best part of my whole experience was finding my V2 while mowing that trail, a week and a half after ordering the V3. Could I have canceled the order? Sure..... but why? These EDC utility knives are very sturdy, and the blade swaps are quick and easy. I don't need to worry about sharpening a blade anymore. Just replace with a new razor sharp one and away I go. The pocket clip saves wear and tear on my jeans, and it is the best way to carry a knife in my opinion. I was on and off that mower seat moving debris and rock, so the repetitive stand and sit motion must have slowly worked the V2 up and out. With the mower running, I never heard it hit the ground. The V2 sat in the grass for a week and a half while getting soaked in multiple rainstorms, and it didn't have a speck of rust on it. My oldest son will enjoy using the V2 while I tote the V3 EVERYDAY!

    Great customer service! I ordered this as a Christmas gift, but didn't notice the extended shipping time. I was going to cancel the order, but they reached out and were able to accommodate an earlier shipping date. The knife is exactly as described online and has a nice weight to it.

    18ish month update:Still going strong, attaching a few pictures of the abuse I've put it through.Had to completely disassemble the knife after a few more trips through dirt, mud, sand, and the washing machine. The action was starting to feel a tad gritty. But after a thorough cleaning and reassembly, it's now working as good as new.Original:I've been using this utility knife for around a year now for daily tasks.It's been dropped, kicked down the driveway, ran through the wash multiple times and still works like new.Compact and lightweight makes it easy to carry around.

    Absolutely awesome knife. Great tolerances and the flipping ball bearing is sweet. There is hardly any play in the flipper or the razor blade holder. Only issue is the pocket clip snagged on my car seat and snapped off. Still waiting to get a replacement clip.....

    I am and have been a knife enthusiast for nearly 50 years. I’ve worked in various construction trades and have gone though thousands of utility blades and if I had to guess at least 50 utility knives both fixed and folding. For YEARS I’ve been waiting for someone to create a folding utility knife that’s not in a semi-disposable format: cheaply made and embarrassing to sport when I’m off work, but can also take a beating and be depended upon if I need it to perform in a stressful and demanding task should the need arise.Well a dude named Josh Boram FINALLY did it!From what I’ve seen this is indeed the quentesential gentleman's folding utility knife. A gentlemen is, first and foremost, sophisticated; and this knife is nothing less. With its simple, ergonomic design to its flawless, efficient and intuitive deployment, this knife is set apart on all sides from anything I’ve seen yet. This is not to mention its above reproach, high tolerence machining and craftsmanship; a work of art in design indeed.And, though I’ve not actually taken it onto the job site, I have all confidence that this knife would stand up to virtually any abuse I could throw at it in that arena.The lock is secure and confidence inspiring and it’s construction is obviously highly thought out designed to both surpass anything in its class in performance and aesthetics.THANK YOU JOSH!!!👊🏻😎HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!👍🏻👍🏻

    If your into Titanium and want practicality this a really good tool. I have been carrying everyday on me and have found it very useful and easy to use. Switching out blades is very easy and does not require any tools. I hope Josh the creator of the Exceed Designs reads this review. For version 4 can you please add a thumb stud?

    Titanium frame lock deep pocket carry flipper style quick change utility blade with a ball bearing action, it’s everything I look for in a pocket knife.The action is smooth, the lock up is tight the frame is thin, and you can tell there is personal craftsmanship here. There is blue Loctite on all the Torx head screws, the ceramic bearings already have a light coat of grease on them. This is honestly the first blade that meets all the requirements that I look for.I was so intrigued with this design that I was willing to wait the five weeks to receive my purchase, it showed up in two weeks. He explains in the description that he is very busy, and he does most of the work himself, you can tell he is worried more about putting out a good quality product, then setting a world record on shipping. I am completely OK with that. But I still received my item weeks earlier than expected. With that being said, he also sent me the titanium prybar lanyard Attachment. That’s a $12 item that he sent to me for free stating he was apologizing for the delayed processing of my order. In my eyes there was no delay. I actually got it early and now I have the titanium prybar attachment as well. For the price you pay , this product is worth it without a doubt.I know Josh is a busy guy making these, but I might have to place an order for another one just to have a back up, just in case I would happen to lose this one. If you’re on the fence about buying this, no longer second-guess it go ahead and make the purchase. You won’t regret it.

    First off, I am floored by the customer service. Unbeknownst to me, the knife showed up late. I had no idea as my mother ordered it for me for Christmas last year, but it didn’t end up showing up until months later. This is understandable from a small company that is very obviously experiencing some growing pains. I’ve included a letter from John Boram, the owner, apologizing for the delay. John also added some upgrades to my knife free of charge. I’m planning on ordering the pry-bar for the knife as well, which would make this knife the ultimate EDC knife, especially for someone like me.Little bit of background: 10 years experience as an automotive and heavy machinery mechanic, and after some illness it started taking too much of a toll on my body to be wrenching full time. I’ve now taken a step into management.This knife fits into my day perfectly. I can be seen wearing black slacks with a polo pretty much exclusively during work at this point in my career. This knife is SMALL. definitely not to the point where it’s useless, but it does not look out of place in a pair of slacks due to how slim it is. I’ve included a picture of the knife in my hand for reference. I have small hands for a man bordering between medium and large gloves, so keep that in mind when trying to judge the size of the tool.Now for the operation: this is genuinely the smoothest opening and closing knife I’ve ever owned, and I’ve owned Victoriknox’s, CRKT’s, Gerber’s, and everything in between. I have no idea how they did it, but I have a feeling it has something to do with the ceramic detent balls they’re offering now. I’m sure the owner can shed some light. Opening the knife is simple and quick, with an index finger action that requires just the right amount of tension. Enough so it cannot be done accidentally, but not so much that it’s strenuous. My mother with rheumatoid arthritis had no problem opening the knife. Closing is just as easy and there is never a point where you feel you will have to force the blade into your hand to get it to snap closed.Changing blades can be challenging at first, but once the lock has been actuated a couple times it loosens up. The blade, once locked in, feels every bit as solid as a fixed blade, and you can tell by the fit between the blade and the housing it’s machined with a high amount of precision. A little bit of oil on the blade is necessary to get it to slip in easily. You will NOT want to use cheap blades. I’d recommend sticking with the Tajima V-REX II blades that come in the knife, because anything of lower quality may not be machined precisely enough to maintain the same fit. This recommendation is made without trying Exceeded Designs Ultra blades they will start offering soon, so keep that in mind. Every bolt in the knife uses blue locktite to secure so I have no worries about hardware coming loose, but extra hardware is included just in case.The packaging is great, not frilly but you can tell some thought went into the design. I’ll be holding on to the packaging to store spare parts. The knife also comes with a Torx wrench for maintenance, but you will need another T6 if you want to remove the alignment pin for the rear spacer. Keep in mind you will need a bit of heat to release the blue locktite for any replacement of parts as well.All in all I am very satisfied and I can assure you this will not be my last purchase from Exceeded Designs. I do want to say thank you to John and his team for the free upgrades and I hope you are able to easily grow your facilities at the same pace as you grow your customers.

It fits in the hand great, opens very smoothly, unobtrusive when in my pocket, it is light weight, looks stunning, and best of all, and best of all a sharper is just a couple of seconds away and just a few cents. I’ve been using this knife daily for a few months, and I’m still telling everyone I meet about it.This knife won’t button a log, or pry open a 50 year old paint can, but will slice all kinds of things, and is so easy to carry. I’ve had a lot of knives, but this is my favorite one to have all the time. I’ll still carry a bigger knife on adventures, but for every day work I’ll choose the TiRant Razor3

    For under $100 a solid titanium utility knife with caged ceramic bearings is a great deal! I originally had an issue where my pocket clip caught on something as I was walking by, and it got bent. I reached out to their customer support and they sent me a new clip for free! I would definitely recommend this item and their customer service.

    The packaging was very well done with extra screws, blades and parts. So far I've had a ton of fun carrying and using the knife. You can get the quality and attention to detail every time you open the knife. I originally wanted the knife to use at work on your typical utility blade tasks that were dulling my nicer pocket knives but honestly it opens and carries so well I've left my other knives behind. 10/10 would recommend.

    Ordered this product on a whim after seeing comparable utility knives going for twice the price. I gotta say, Josh and company at Exceed Designs knocked it out of the park. I could only wish some most pocket knives were made to these standards. Definitely try this if you are a knife collector, or use a utility knife daily and want a step up from your hardware store blade. Sleek design. “An elegant weapon for a more civilized age.”

    18ish month update:Still going strong, attaching a few pictures of the abuse I've put it through.Had to completely disassemble the knife after a few more trips through dirt, mud, sand, and the washing machine. The action was starting to feel a tad gritty. But after a thorough cleaning and reassembly, it's now working as good as new.Original:I've been using this utility knife for around a year now for daily tasks.It's been dropped, kicked down the driveway, ran through the wash multiple times and still works like new.Compact and lightweight makes it easy to carry around.

    Clever and sleek design with top notch craftsmanship, feels more like a piece of art than a pocket knife, blade flips open with impossible smoothness and locks up solid with zero play.Can't beat the ability to have a brand new ultra sharp blade anytime ya want and I can use it for cutting and scraping on stuff I'd never use a more expensive blade on.Truly worth every penny, seller is top notch as well and sends lots of extras with the knife, highly recommended if you want the slimmest and sharpest knife possible.Edit: After a few weeks of carrying the knife around the house I noticed the pocket clip was becoming loose, which was unexpected but not unwelcome as I wasn't a huge fan of the pocket clip but didn't want to disassemble the knife just to remove it.A few minutes of wiggling the clip back and forth worked the screw loose and the clip slide right out, placed them both back in the box the knife came in the unlikely event I want to put the clip back on.I thought I liked the knife before but now it feels even better being smooth and flat on both sides, and it still fits nicely in the small coin pocket on my pants, so I couldn't be happier with the knife.TL/DR: Awesome knife that is worth every penny but the pocket clip may work loose if carried by clip regularly, use a drop of green "wicking grade" loctite while it's still tight and it will stay tight forever, I've used green loctite on trigger set screws on firearms with great success.

    Update: I contacted the company through Facebook and explained what was wrong with my knife and they apologized. They agreed to send me a replacement that same day and also refunded me $20. Far exceeded my expectations for customer service. The replacement has much better lock up and is still buttery smooth. I think this section of the knife could still use a little refinement. That being said, Striders in the 2000s had similar lock face issues so I think it’s forgivable for a new company. If there’s ever a second version made they should consider milling the inside of the handles to lose weight and using a deep carry pocket clip with recessed screws, so you pockets don’t get worn. Lose the back spacer and replace with barrel spacers for added weight savings. A lanyard can be tied around a barrel spacer very easily. I change my rating from a 1 to 4 stars because I feel the lock interface still needs refinement. Great customer service, really nice people to do business with.I love the design of this thing and I have been waiting for a manufacturer to make something like this. This would be a 5 star review but there’s one MAJOR flaw on the one I received. The lock bar doesn’t engage until it’s at 100%, crating up and down play unless you force the lock all the way over. I’m going to attempt to contact the manufacturer and see if they will exchange it for one with proper lock bar engagement. Will update

    10/10 EDC knifeFrom the packaging to the knife it’s self it’s a 10.Comparing from a 100$ leek to a 400$ Benchmade it’s a great little knife. No needing to worry about sharpening or losing material off your blade when you can just swap it out. Yes, shipping took a little while but it still arrived earlier then expected. The machining and design is flawless. Comes with extra screws and parts in case needing to disassemble in the future. This is going to be my edc until a v4 comes out. Lightweight titanium, smooth flipper, deep pocket carry for 90$. Deal stop contemplating and buy one.
