I am a packaging designer and work with corrugated cardboard all day every day. A utility blade is a must have for me at work...and I also prefer to carry one as an EDC tool. The TiRant fits the bill for both worlds. As a work utility knife, any utility blade will do. But the TiRant is a cool, lightweight flipper that feels good and strong in the hand when working, and is light and stylish in the pocket like you want your EDC tools to be. I ordered the black version and purchased black ceramic blades on Amazon. I couldn't be happier and I get tons of compliments from my coworkers and knife aficionado friends.

This is my second knife. Lost my first at work somewhere and I’m still gutted. Still, having bought two, it was cheaper than what I’ve paid for more “premium” flip knives in the past. It’s small and lightweight but fits perfectly in the hand upon extension and has the absolute smoothest flip I’ve ever felt. And unlike those expensive EDC knives I’ve carried before, I’m never hesitant. No worries about dulling, sharpening, or even chipping a blade. Just swap in a new razor. I work building maintenance with a lot of the gruff gents who balk at the idea of investing money for a “simple” utility knife. “Why would you pay that much?! Just go down to harbor freight!” Then I put it in their hands. Every one of them had to reassess their understanding and I had to share the site with at least one guy. Now this knife has attitude and not necessarily in the best way. When I received my second knife, I also got the pry bar. Switching it out was a breeze on my first knife but this little bugger…immediately stripped the included wrench. Ok, I’ll use MY tools. Stripped the screws. Both sides. It was about this time that I told the knife “this was not a request” and pulled out my dremel, drill press attachment, and a small bit. 20 minutes of slow drilling later I was laughing maniacally at my victory. I’m still giving this 5 stars even though I’d have been SOL without my own tools (also might be a fluke but this knife is a lot harder to switch blades on, almost like the catch is bent in a bit too far) Seriously, I love this knife. And to Exceed Designs I’ll say I understand wanting to make a bulletproof product but damn guys, at least ensure serviceability.

    I’m a knife and multitool nerd. I use utility knives on a daily basis for work and figured I should invest a little extra and treat myself to something nice. Welp it’s very nice haha. I mean it’s absolutely outstanding. The action, weight, build quality, included spare parts, warranty are all pretty much as good as you can really get. And it’s made in the US? Yup excellent value..     A high quality utility knife with a very strong lock up and no side to side play in both directions. The ergonomics of the grip is surprisingly good with such a rectangular shape. The size and weight lend itself very well for EDC carry. Areas for improvement include: possible jimping on the fipper and less force needed on the blade change, which I do with one quick easy motion. This could be the best utility knife on the market and I highly recommend it!!!

    Best knife out there. I lost the first one that i abused HEAVILY. Im talking knife open to get more leverage on the prying end and it doesnt care. Get one you will not regret it.

    Love the V3. Only two complaints I have is that the shorter mini pocket clip is brittle. I have had 2 of these clips so far and they both have snapped in half on their first day of use. Do not bother with the mini clip until it is redesigned from better material. Second complaint is the pry bar would be more useful as a flat blade screwdriver. I use it all the time to open electrical panels but it likes to slip out "cam out". Please make a flat blade version, thank you!

    I bought the V3 for work due to it being the most compact razor folder I found and when working in the wind industry you want to carry as little as possible on you at all times. I've been using it for work daily for around 2 years now and despite it being (ab)used heavily and covered in grease, hydraulic oils, dust and grime it still flips almost as well as it did out of the box. Still no loose screws or any more play than it had when new. I've used up countless blades with this thing and the knife itself seems to be near unbreakable. It's more expensive than some other razor blade flippers out there, but the quality is definitely worth the premium.

    Outstanding fit and finishing. Hopefully the next version will have an even easier no tool blade change. I will like to see the pry tool part with less steep angle and slightly longer for better prying. I was also wondering if a magnet at the blade holder will help in stopping the rattling as some utility blade are still quite loose even if I tighten the T6 screw down. A place to hold a tritium or a GITD for easy find in the dark will be cool. Will definitely get more.

    I'm very pleased with this utility knife. It looks great, came well-packaged, and the flip action is smooth and there is no play on the blade retainer. The blades are snugly held with little back-and-forth play. Great engineering job designing this knife, and it's well-made. I also bought the Razor-M. I couldn't leave a review there for some reason, so I'll review it here. It's the same - very well made and a joy to use! Genius design - both the Razor-V3 and Razor-M, and well executed.

    I purchased the Tirant Razor V2 in January of 2022 and absolutely fell in love with it on the first day of carry. I had previously carried a pocketknife without a clip and got in the habit of using its blade as a screwdriver and prybar. That always boggers up the blade and is difficult (and time consuming) to resharpen, or in some cases, attempt to straighten the blade. I had previously never owned a titanium anything, nor was I very interested in spending so much money on a utility knife. However, I was drawn to the slim and light weight design and figured I should give it a try. I carried the V2 every single day until it somehow became unclipped from my pocket while mowing a 1.5 mile trail through the woods in September. I walked that path three times looking for it and had no luck. I loved it so much that I had to order another one. I found out that Josh at Exceed designs, had implemented a few new updates to the Tirant Razor and rolled out the V3. While it is even more expensive than the V2, I simply could not bear the thought of not having one with me. So $85, and about 6 weeks later, I am now the proud owner of the Tirant Razor V3. The best part of my whole experience was finding my V2 while mowing that trail, a week and a half after ordering the V3. Could I have canceled the order? Sure..... but why? These EDC utility knives are very sturdy, and the blade swaps are quick and easy. I don't need to worry about sharpening a blade anymore. Just replace with a new razor sharp one and away I go. The pocket clip saves wear and tear on my jeans, and it is the best way to carry a knife in my opinion. I was on and off that mower seat moving debris and rock, so the repetitive stand and sit motion must have slowly worked the V2 up and out. With the mower running, I never heard it hit the ground. The V2 sat in the grass for a week and a half while getting soaked in multiple rainstorms, and it didn't have a speck of rust on it. My oldest son will enjoy using the V2 while I tote the V3 EVERYDAY!

I cannot recommend this knife enough, pet it be the last utility knife you ever need to buy.I purchased through their actual website exceeddesigns.com and it shipped faster than Amazon's prediction.

    This is still the best compact utility knife/EDC option you can buy right now. There are a couple others out there that are about the same but the tirantv3 still edges them out currently. I know the wait was supposed to be a long one but mine wasn’t long at all and a note was in the package from the owner addressing the longer than expected wait times. Mine was about a week from ordering, not bad at all. A couple things to mention. The knife still comes with the box of extras but the pry bar end piece is no longer included, it needs to be purchased separately I suppose. And the blades that are included are all good, but not a lenox gold blade like may have been included before. I have some extra though, no big deal. It is also noted that it now comes with a more “high end” black ceramic detent ball inside. This is still a great buy and I’m sure I will enjoy and make use of it for years to come. Also, if anyone is wondering about blade play like I was, there is the slightest blade play of the actual blade itself but it is way way better than any other utility blade knife in that regard. This can also be remedied with a piece of tape on the top of the blade before inserting it into the knife. Hope this helps!

The knife still comes with the box of extras but the pry bar end piece is no longer included, it needs to be purchased separately I suppose. And the blades that are included are all good, but not a lenox gold blade like may have been included before. I have some extra though, no big deal. It is also noted that it now comes with a more “high end” black ceramic detent ball inside. This is still a great buy and I’m sure I will enjoy and make use of it for years to come. Also, if anyone is wondering about blade play like I was, there is the slightest blade play of the actual blade itself but it is way way better than any other utility blade knife in that regard. This can also be remedied with a piece of tape on the top of the blade before inserting it into the knife. Hope this helps!

    Love the size, shape and clip depth. Stays in the pocket nice, this is the second one I’ve bought, the first one was burrowed and never returned at a shop, the sad life of a nice knife. Wanted to write a review to support an amazing company. The blade lock gets easier with time, I fidget with it so it wore in nice. Super easy one handed operation. Great birthday gift for a tradesmen or a knife collector.

    This is still the best compact utility knife/EDC option you can buy right now. There are a couple others out there that are about the same but the tirantv3 still edges them out currently. I know the wait was supposed to be a long one but mine wasn’t long at all and a note was in the package from the owner addressing the longer than expected wait times. Mine was about a week from ordering, not bad at all. A couple things to mention.     I received this with a note from the company apologizing for my order being late (which it wasn't, really).It is precisely machined from titanium, and comes with a pack of blades and several other replacement parts and a tool for maintenance. Comes with full color instructions as well. The price is surprisingly low for what you get.

    It’s crazy how good this utility knife is. This is just someone’s obsession with making the ultimate product. Materials, craftsmanship and packaging. It comes with spare parts and a detailed manual plus some swag. It really blows me away to get such a high quality product. This would be considered an expensive knife but I don’t think so. It’s very rare to get something with so much thought and care for the product. What you’re buying is someone’s passion. I highly highly recommend for those people who want the best.
